Hello.
First of all, I’d like to point out that I’m 68 years old and, by nature, I’m a fairly demanding person—both when it comes to the organization of a company’s operations, literal convenience, and also personal conversations.
That’s why, with such requirements, the assessment posted here will be very reliable and will highlight real experiences.
Due to health reasons (quite urgent to carry out), I had to undergo surgery for two hernias: the umbilical and the left inguinal hernia.
Because the waiting time for a consultation and surgery under NFZ in public facilities was very long, my choice fell on Centrum Medyczne WILMED in Warsaw Wilanów at Wiktorii Wiedeńskiej 9A—and I’ll tell you right away: it was absolutely the right decision!
Right from my first contact with the Reception to check the situation and arrange a date for the surgical consultation, I was very pleasantly surprised. The conversation was friendly and specific, and the consultation date was available the very next day!
The next day, the conversation with the surgeon—specifically the Head of the Clinic, Dr. Piotr Ciszewski—was also very pleasant, and I would say it created a relaxing atmosphere that helped relieve the stress and nervousness that are completely normal in such a situation.
After examining me, Dr. [the doctor] referred me to the very lovely Ms. Aneta, who serves as the coordinator and “brain” of the Clinic, in order to discuss the surgery date, the requirements, and the necessary pre-op tests.
The surgery appointment was simply unbelievable (and time mattered to me)—for Wednesday the following week, and on Friday of that same week the Clinic performed the remaining tests that were needed for the surgery.
Efficient and professional, with a thorough portion of information.
The tests on Friday were incredibly fast, and surgery on Wednesday was confirmed (after the anesthesiologist’s approval).
Surgery on Wednesday, still after another conversation with the anesthesiologist, in very good conditions, performed by a very kind and professional staff.
Don’t believe it, but even before the surgery there was a choice from the menu of what I would like to eat for a later dinner, and in the morning the next day for breakfast. The food was very good and served at the agreed time.
Night care was wonderful. Two very lovely ladies, Ms. Magda and Ms. Ola, checked on me very often during the night and asked whether I needed anything and whether the room temperature was OK.
In my room—by design it was intended to be for two people—I was alone, while another patient was alone in another two-person room.
In the morning, a follow-up visit by Dr. Piotr Ciszewski (the surgeon who operated on me), discussing the post-surgery procedure and setting the date for removing the stitches in 12 days and discharge home.
Everything was superbly and very smoothly handled, with great routine and experience.
I’m already after the stitches have been removed by Dr. Piotr Ciszewski and I’m getting back to my form fairly quickly.
I hope everything will continue to be OK.
This may be long, but this detailed description fully shows my satisfaction with the entire logistical side of the surgery and the full professionalism of the whole WILMED team—and I thank you very much for that!!!
I would especially like to thank Dr. Piotr Ciszewski, Ms. Aneta, Ms. Magda and Ms. Ola, and of course the entire surgery team, including the anesthesiologist.
