He completed his residency in plastic surgery by SOBRAPAR in Campinas and is a specialist in Plastic Surgery by the Ministry of Education (MEC) as well as the Regional Council of Medicine and the Brazilian Society of Plastic Surgery. He has also completed training with Professor Ivo Pitanguy and Professor Foad Nahai in Atlanta, USA. He is a member of several prestigious medical associations including the Brazilian Society of Plastic Surgery, the Paulista Medical Association, the Brazilian Medical Association, the International Confederation for Plastic Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery (IPRAS), the International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ISAPS), and the International Society of Plastic Surgeons American (ASPS).
Dr. Alexandre Charão is an award-winning plastic surgeon who operates his own practice in Laranjeiras, Rio De Janeiro, Brazil.
