Denture in Thailand: Your Travel Plan

Day 1: Arrival in Thailand
  • After landing in Thailand, you should ensure you have all necessary documents, including your appointment confirmation and any relevant medical history for the procedure.
  • Settle into your accommodation. Take time to rest and adjust to the local time zone.
  • If you have questions or concerns, contact the clinic via phone or WhatsApp. They are available Monday to Saturday from 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM, and Sundays from 11:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
  • Prepare for your first appointment by reviewing any dietary or medication restrictions provided by the clinic.
Day 2: Initial Consultation and Examination
  • You need to visit the clinic for your first appointment. This will include an initial examination and possibly x-rays to assess your dental health and finalize your treatment plan.
  • Discuss with the dentist the type of denture suitable for you. Options include acrylic, valplast, and metallic dentures, each with different benefits and costs.
  • For partial dentures, consider options like acrylic-based or metal-based dentures. The latter often provides more durability.
  • Ensure you understand the timeline for your specific denture process. Typically, it may take 2-3 visits over 7-14 days, depending on the complexity of your case.
  • Pay attention to any specific instructions given by your dentist regarding oral hygiene or preparation for the next steps.
Day 3: Rest and Explore
  • Use this day to relax and explore the local area. Ensure you maintain good oral hygiene, avoiding any foods that might irritate your gums.
  • Stay hydrated and follow any dietary recommendations provided by the clinic to ensure optimal oral health before your next appointment.
Day 4: Impressions and Tray Fitting
  • Return to the clinic for impressions, which are crucial for crafting your custom dentures. This step may involve creating a study model and an individual tray.
  • Discuss any concerns with your dentist and ensure the impressions are comfortable.
  • Ask about the materials used for your dentures. Advanced materials and technology, such as those used at SmileBox Dental Clinic, can enhance the durability and appearance of your dentures.
Day 5: Wax Try-In and Bite Registration
  • Attend your appointment for a wax try-in. This step allows you to see and feel the preliminary fit of your dentures.
  • Engage in bite registration to ensure your dentures will fit comfortably and function properly.
  • Provide feedback to your dentist on the fit and comfort of the wax try-in to make necessary adjustments.
Day 6: Rest Day
  • Take a rest day to allow your gums to recover from the previous appointments. Avoid hard or sticky foods that could affect your gums.
  • Continue to practice good oral hygiene and stay in communication with the clinic if you experience any discomfort.
Day 7: Final Denture Try-In
  • Return to the clinic for the final try-in of your dentures. This is an opportunity to make any last-minute adjustments.
  • Ensure that the dentures fit snugly and feel comfortable. Discuss any issues with your dentist immediately.
  • Learn about the maintenance and care of your new dentures to prolong their lifespan and ensure oral health.
Day 8: Follow-Up and Adjustments
  • Attend a follow-up appointment to assess the fit and function of your new dentures.
  • Discuss any discomfort or issues you may be experiencing with your dentist. Adjustments can be made to improve comfort and functionality.
  • Ensure you understand the aftercare instructions and schedule any additional follow-up appointments if necessary.
Day 9: Rest and Prepare for Departure

I would like to thank BIDC and also Bookimed for their professionalism
Hello everyone, like many other people before an operation, I wasn't feeling very well. The staff at the clinic immediately reassured and accompanied me. Believe me or not, I didn't feel a thing. The dental surgeon fitted the 2 implants in 40 minutes, and I had no infections whatsoever. My Bookimed advisor (Péguy) was with me from the start and is still with me today. I would like to thank BIDC and also Bookimed for their professionalism. Sylvain B.
The clinic's simplicity and professionalism.
I was very cold during the operation.

The wisdom teeth extraction was done so fast with utmost care
It is a clean hospital and the wisdom teeth extraction was done so fast with utmost care. The dentist and dental personnel can speak fluent English which is important for most people like I. For wisdom teeth extraction the cost was 20000 baht for 4 teeth( including medication and nurse charge), but it all depends if the teeth has impacted. I would highly recommend the clinic.

Our Denture Techniques: What Suits You Best?

When considering Denture, it’s important to understand the different techniques and which is best suited for you. Here’s a concise comparison of popular options:

Full Dentures Installation

Full dentures installation involves fitting a complete set of artificial teeth to replace all missing teeth in the upper or lower jaw.

Pros: Suitable for patients with no remaining teeth. Offers a non-invasive solution compared to implant options. Usually completed in fewer appointments than hybrid solutions.
Cons: Less stability than implant-supported options. May require regular adjustments due to bone resorption. Can affect taste and oral sensations.
Effectiveness: 85-90% success rate in restoring oral function.
Duration: 2-3 weeks for complete fitting.
Recovery: 1-2 weeks for initial adjustment.
Best for: Patients missing all teeth in one arch. Provides a cost-effective tooth replacement solution.
Prices: Cost of Full dentures installation in Thailand from $346

Immediate Dentures Installation

This procedure involves fitting false teeth immediately after tooth extraction to ensure no gap during healing.

Pros: Provides immediate tooth replacement, maintaining oral aesthetics. Reduces healing time by 50% compared to waiting for gum healing before denture fitting.
Cons: May require more adjustments than full dentures due to gum shrinkage. Less stable than hybrid All-on-4 implants, which are fixed.
Effectiveness: 85% success rate in maintaining oral function.
Duration: 1-2 hours
Recovery: 2-4 weeks
Best for: Individuals needing immediate tooth replacement post-extraction. Suitable for 1-4 missing teeth.
Prices: Cost of Immediate dentures installation in Thailand from $101

Hybrid All-on-4 Implant Denture

This procedure involves securing a full arch of prosthetic teeth onto four strategically placed dental implants for a stable and permanent solution.

Pros: Provides a more stable and permanent solution compared to removable dentures. Allows for normal chewing and speaking functions with up to 98% success rate. Less invasive than full arch implant solutions.
Cons: Requires a surgical procedure, which may not be suitable for all patients. Longer healing time compared to immediate dentures.
Effectiveness: 98% success rate for implant integration.
Duration: 2-3 hours
Recovery: 3-6 months
Best for: Patients needing full arch tooth replacement with stable, non-removable dentures.
Prices: Cost of Hybrid All-on-4 implant denture in Thailand from $12,106

4-implant Overdenture Supported by a CAD/CAM Titanium Bar

This procedure involves using a computer-aided design and manufacturing process to create a titanium bar that supports an overdenture on four dental implants.

Pros: Provides enhanced stability compared to full dentures installation. Offers 90% success rate in improving oral function and comfort. Less invasive than hybrid All-on-4 implant denture.
Cons: Requires more surgical steps than immediate dentures installation. Higher maintenance for cleaning compared to traditional dentures.
Effectiveness: 95%
Duration: 3-5 hours
Recovery: 7-10 days
Best for: 4-implant support, superior stability, and improved chewing function.
Prices: Cost of 4-implant overdenture supported by a CAD/CAM titanium bar in Thailand from $7,206
