She completed pediatric specialty training at Hacettepe University İhsan Doğramacı Children’s Hospital (1985–1990). She earned her medical degree from Ankara University (1977–1983). Her training also includes Neonatal Resuscitation, Breastfeeding, and Occupational Medicine. She is a member of the Ankara and Muğla Medical Chambers.
Dr. Birol Herdem is a pediatric specialist (2018–present). He currently works at Memorial Bodrum Hospital (2025).
