This created an impression of a professional and well-prepared approach
Our son is 6 years old and has been diagnosed with ASD. We arrived at Memorial Şişli Clinic on Monday. On the same day, we had a consultation with Dr. Betül Tavil. The doctor carefully examined our son and immediately began asking questions, to which she seemed to already have some answers. This created an impression of a professional and well-prepared approach. After the consultation, the doctor recommended stem cell therapy. With our consent, the cells were ordered immediately, considering they would be delivered to the clinic within three days. On the same day, we provided four vials of blood. Three days later, the stem cell administration procedure took place. The total dose consisted of 50 million cells: 1% was administered into the spinal cord, and the remainder was given via intravenous infusion. The procedure itself lasted approximately 10–15 minutes and went smoothly. Afterward, a supportive IV drip was administered to the child. Overall, we stayed in the hospital for about 4–4.5 hours, after which we were discharged. At this point, we have observed no side effects in the child.
Prompt service, and the doctor, Betul Tavil, is very personable and I confidently say she is truly a professional in her field.
About Bookimed service
Our experience collaborating with Bookimed was very pleasant. Communication was easy and clear — our messages were always answered promptly, all issues were explained in detail, and helpful advice was provided. When necessary, Bookimed representatives contacted us by phone, which was particularly convenient and reassuring. It felt like they genuinely wanted to help us, rather than just respond formally. Thank you to the Bookimed team for your support, attentiveness, and human approach. We are left with only positive impressions.

Specialization and Pediatric Blood Disorders

Dr. Tavil treats blood disorders in children from birth to 18 years of age. She treats cases where transplantation is necessary for survival. These include acute lymphoblastic and myeloid leukemia, as well as Hodgkin's and non-Hodgkin's lymphomas. She also treats chronic myeloid leukemia, thalassemia, and sickle cell anemia. Furthermore, the specialist treats hemophilia, congenital erythropoietic porphyria, and immunodeficiency conditions. She provides care for patients with hypereosinophilic syndrome — a condition where the body produces too many white blood cells that can damage organs.

The doctor performs hematopoietic stem cell transplantation using related and unrelated donors. She also performs autologous and allogenic transplant techniques and pediatric chemotherapy. Autologous transplantation uses the patient's own stem cells. Allogenic transplantation uses stem cells from a donor.
