Qualifications
Dr. Alexis Arziminoglou is a pediatric epileptologist with 30 years of experience. He specializes in the medical and surgical treatment of childhood epilepsy, cognitive development disorders (all types of thought processes, such as perception, memory, logic) and emotional regulation in focal forms of the disease.
Dr. Arziminoglou currently coordinates the Epilepsy Program at the Sant Joan de Déu Children's Hospital in Barcelona and heads the Epilepsy, Sleep Disorders and Pediatric Neurophysiology Unit at the University Hospital of Lyon (France).
Alexis Arziminoglou is involved in clinical research in the areas of drug and surgical treatment of epilepsy, genetic features of epilepsy in children, and disorders of the brain associated with focal epilepsy.

- laureate of the Ambassador For Epilepsy Award from the International League Against Epilepsy (ILAE);
- Principal Investigator and Coordinator of the study “Epilepsy and Mood Dysregulation Disorders: A Prospective Longitudinal Study in Children with Newly Diagnosed Epilepsy” at the University Hospital of Lyon, France;
- Co-chairman of the scientific group of the European Academy of Neurology in the specialization “Children's Neurology”;
- author of 124 scientific articles and 10 books on childhood epilepsy.
