Dr. Andrej Orságh is a gastroenterologist, certified in 2015. He has worked at the Gastroenterology Department of the National Cancer Institute (NOÚ) since 2016. Since 2019 he has been the institute’s specialist consultant for colorectal cancer screening. He leads the colorectal cancer screening working group of the Slovak Gastroenterological Society. He is vice-chair of its Endoscopy Section and chair of its Oncology Section.
He graduated from Comenius University in 2009. He trained at the Gastroenterology Clinic of the University Hospital in Bratislava and at the Slovak Medical University. He shares his expertise at professional conferences and in publications. He also teaches basic and advanced endoscopic techniques in NOÚ courses.

How are we doing?
Qualifications
I graduated from the Faculty of Medicine at Comenius University in Bratislava in 2009. After a year at the Surgery Department of the Faculty Hospital in Trnava, I started working at the Gastroenterology Clinic of the University Hospital in Bratislava and the Slovak Medical University, where I got my specialization in gastroenterology in 2015.
Since 2016, I have been working as a gastroenterologist at the Gastroenterology Department of the National Cancer Institute (NOÚ) and, since 2019, also as a specialist consultant at the National Cancer Institute (NOI) for colorectal cancer screening.
I am currently the head of the working group for colorectal cancer screening of the Slovak Gastroenterological Society, vice-chairman of the Endoscopy Section, and chairman of the Oncology Section of the Slovak Gastroenterological Society.
I strive to share my extensive experience at professional conferences, in professional gastroenterology publications, and as a trainer of basic and advanced endoscopic techniques in training courses organized by the NOÚ.
