Dinesh Kansal is a senior gynaecologist and head of the department of obstetrics and gynaecology at Dr Kapoor's BLK Hospital, New Delhi. She also heads the Gynae laparoscopic surgery department at the same hospital.
Education
It was after graduating that Dr. Kansal became interested in the then-nascent field of minimally invasive surgery. She gained practical experience working with robotic laparoscopic surgery systems at Harvard Medical School in Boston, USA. Dr. Kansal spent 26 years in private practice, which helped her gain extensive experience and hone her skills in particularly complex cases, and has performed over 11,000 successful surgeries using minimally invasive techniques.
Dr. Dinesh Kansal is the Director of the Federation of Obstetric and Gynaecological Societies of India (FOGIS) recognised training centre in advanced laparoscopic and hysteroscopic surgery at Dr. Kapoor's BLK Hospital.
Dr. Kansal has been a leader, guest speaker and panelist in many conferences and workshops both nationally and internationally. She has also trained doctors from all over India and has published in various scientific journals or participated in television discussions.
