Dr. Pevni specializes in surgical treatment of heart defects, such as congenital and acquired aortic and mitral valve anomalies, interventricular septal defects, and aortic aneurysms. He has developed a unique method for replacing heart valves on a working heart, enhancing cardiac surgery. Besides his surgical practice, Dr. Pevni is a lecturer at Tel Aviv University. His contributions to cardiac surgery include the most complex surgical operation on aortic valve transplantation for a patient with an artificial heart.
