Selçuk Basa graduated from Ankara University Faculty of Dentistry in 1982. In 1986, he completed his specialty training in the field of Oral, Dental and Maxillofacial Surgery at Hacettepe University Faculty of Dentistry. After working at Pasteur Hospital between 1986-1990, he worked as Associate Professor and Deputy Director at Selçuk University between 1991-1994. Working at Marmara University between 1994-2016, Prof. Dr. Selçuk Basa served as Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry between 2004-2008. In 1989, Medical University of South Carolina in the USA, Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in London Guys Hospital in 1990 and Facial Plastic and Maxillofacial Surgery in Marien Hospital in Stuttgart, Germany in 1999, Paris Armand- He studied facial surgery at Trousseau Hospital. Prof. Dr. Selçuk Basa worked in the field of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Germany Bonn University in 2001 and at the USA North Carolina University in 2005.He has been working as the dean of Bahçeşehir University Faculty of Dentistry since 2021.
