Shimon Reif

Prof. Shimon Reif is a pediatric gastroenterologist and an expert for the World Health Organization (WHO). He develops international protocols for diagnosing and treating children with digestive tract conditions. Since 2012, he has served as the Head of the Department of Pediatrics at Hadassah Medical Center.

Clinical Focus and Expertise

Prof. Reif treats children with complex liver and gastrointestinal tract illnesses. He treats conditions such as ulcerative colitis, gastritis, pancreatitis, and cholelithiasis — the formation of gallstones in the gallbladder. The specialist also treats pediatric patients with cirrhosis and gastrointestinal polyps.
