I would like to share my experience in the clinic. The most important thing about the operation, I had a huge hernia and before the operation I was warned about the possible difficulties of removal by the endoscopic method, but the doctor advised me to start with it. A very good doctor - Stanislaw Kwiek, has over 16 years of experience in minimally invasive surgery. The operation was successful. The rehabilitologist is a good woman, she told and showed the exercises and a rough rehabilitation plan. Most of all I didn't like the managers. Before the operation, they assured that it was enough for them to show the tickets, that I was flying to them, and you could pay on the spot. As soon as I showed the tickets, they told me that now I need to pay 20% in advance ... Also, the entire price list was thrown off to me only after I threw off the tickets to them. Part of the expenses was covered by the insurance and the clinic had to return the difference. If before the operation they picked up the phone immediately, then after that I could not get through. The money was returned after 2 weeks, but not the entire amount, I did not understand why, as I think it is useless. In general, if you forget about those who make money and talk only about the honey side, then everything is fine. Good doctor.

Qualifications

Dr. Stanislaw Kwiek is a neurosurgeon specializing in minimally invasive spine surgery at KCM Clinic. He holds a postdoctoral degree for his research on multimodal monitoring during complex nerve surgeries. The specialist treats nervous system diseases and spinal conditions such as discopathy and stenosis.

Spine Surgery & Treatment Focus

Dr. Kwiek relieves pain through endoscopic and laser techniques. He uses the SED-YESS lumbar endoscope for precise herniated disc removal. These methods often result in faster recovery times than traditional open surgery. His treatment approach includes:

  • Endoscopic cervical spine surgery for disc herniation
  • Percutaneous laser disc decompression (PLDD) — a procedure that uses a laser to shrink a herniated disc and relieve nerve pressure
  • Cervical nucleotomy-discectomy using coblation technology — a technique using cold radiofrequency energy to remove disc tissue
  • Dynamic stabilization with the Medtronic DIAM flexible implant
  • DISCOgel spine implants and nucleoplasty
  • Vertebroplasty for thoracolumbar vertebral body fractures
  • Diagnostic spinal blockades for pain mapping

Academic & Research Achievements

Dr. Kwiek is a researcher in clinical neurophysiology. In 2013, the Silesian Medical University published his paper on predictive factors for vestibular nerve surgery. His work analyzed long-term outcomes for patients operated on with retro-axial access. He utilizes this academic background to apply intraoperative monitoring during surgery.
