Hello, I have serious scoliosis and some other health problems, it is necessary to operate scoliosis and preferably as soon as possible since it will only get worse ... In Ukraine, everyone refused to operate because there was a very big risk, Poland also refused ... Stefano Boriani is an orthopedic surgeon who developed the WBB surgical staging system for spinal tumors. He has performed over 3,000 surgeries focusing on spine oncology, trauma, and degenerative pathologies. Dr. Boriani currently leads spine tumor surgery at the GSpine4 unit within IRCCS Ospedale Galeazzi – Sant'Ambrogio.
Specialization and Surgical Innovation
Dr. Boriani treats bone cancer, spinal cord tumors, and complex spinal infections. He created the Weinstein-Boriani-Biagini (WBB) system, which is a method for staging spinal tumors. This method is now a standard for staging spinal tumors. The doctor also pioneered specific resection techniques:
- En bloc resection of primary thoracic spine tumors — a surgical procedure to remove the tumor in one piece
- Subtotal and total vertebrectomy for tumors — the removal of part or all of a vertebra
