Dr. Tarık Akar is an experienced internist. He graduated from Cerrahpaşa School of Medicine, Istanbul University in 2000. He completed his specialty training in 2004. Prof. Dr. Engin Tutar was born in Istanbul in 1964. He completed his primary and secondary education at Istanbul Erkek Lisesi between 1975 and 1982, and graduated from Istanbul University Istanbul Faculty of Medicine in 1988. In December of the same year, he started his specialization in the Department of Pediatrics at Dr. Lütfi Kırdar Kartal Training and Research Hospital, becoming a specialist in Pediatrics in February 1993. He completed his subspecialty training in Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology, and Nutrition at Marmara University Faculty of Medicine, becoming a subspecialist in 2006. He served as the Assistant Chief Physician and Acting Chief Physician at the 2nd Pediatric Clinic of Dr. Lütfi Kırdar Kartal Training and Research Hospital between 2010 and 2012. In May 2012, he transferred to Marmara University Faculty of Medicine, where he became an Associate Professor in Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology, and Nutrition in 2014, and a Professor in 2020. Alongside his international and national article authorships, he has given over 50 presentations at congresses/courses/association meetings. He retired in May 2024 while serving as the head of the Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology, and Nutrition department at Marmara University Faculty of Medicine. As of June 2024, he is accepting patients at Hisar Hospital Intercontinental.

Dr. Yahya Özel is a highly experienced general surgeon with expertise in bariatric surgery, hepatobiliary diseases, abdominal hernias, endocrine surgery, and oncological surgery. He completed his medical education at Istanbul University, Istanbul Faculty of Medicine in 1990 and pursued his specialization in General Surgery at Haydarpaşa Numune Training and Research Hospital between 2001 and 2006. His commitment to advanced surgical techniques led him to further training at Tokyo University Hospital, Japan, in the Hepato-Biliary-Pancreatic Surgery and Artificial Organ Division under renowned experts M. Makuuchi and N. Kokudo.

Throughout his career, Dr. Özel has worked at prestigious institutions, including Istanbul University Faculty of Medicine, Haydarpaşa Numune Training and Research Hospital, and Ümraniye Training and Research Hospital. His extensive experience includes roles in ERCP and surgical endoscopy, as well as advanced laparoscopic and robotic surgery. Dr. Omer Necip Aytug is a respected gastroenterologist. He graduated from Hacettepe University School of Medicine in 1980. He became an internist at Cukurova University in 1985. He completed his gastroenterology fellowship at Marmara University in 1997.

He was named Associate Professor at Firat University in 1989. In 1998, he became a Professor at Abant Izzet Baysal University. Dr. Aytug has written many scientific papers and book chapters. He has also attended several national and international congresses.

He has held important academic and clinical roles at Duzce University Faculty of Medicine, Camlica Medicana Hospital, and Memorial Service Hospital. These positions have established him as an expert in gastroenterology.

Dr. Saban Sec is a medical oncologist with experience at leading hospitals, including Haseki Training and Research Hospital, Prof. Dr. Cemil Taşcıoğlu City Hospital, and Bahçelievler Medikalpark Hospital. He currently represents specialist physicians in the Turkish Medical Oncology Association. He is also a member of the Istanbul Medical Chamber and the Turkish Medical Oncology Association.

Dr. Sec treats breast, lung, gastrointestinal, prostate, urogenital, head and neck cancers, as well as sarcomas and rare tumors. He has published many peer-reviewed articles on cancer prognosis, treatment outcomes, and survival rates. His research includes studies with large patient groups, such as 138 patients with HER2-positive metastatic gastric cancer. Dr. Sec focuses on prognostic factors and treatment responses in different cancers. He is dedicated to improving cancer care.

Assoc. Prof. Atakan Topçu, M.D., is a medical oncologist at Medipol University and Medipol Acıbadem Regional Hospital. He treats solid tumors, including lung, breast, colorectal, gastric, and neuroendocrine cancers. His work also covers targeted therapies, immunotherapy, geriatric oncology, and cancer-related malnutrition, cachexia, and sarcopenia.

He has authored more than 50 peer-reviewed papers. Recent work includes a 2024 Frontiers in Medicine study on geriatric syndromes and a 2023 Future Oncology paper on sarcopenia and anxiety in lung cancer. He has also published on the CONUT score in breast cancer and on malnutrition in HER2-negative metastatic gastric cancer.

Dr. Topçu serves on the Editorial Board of BMC Cancer. He is a member of the Turkish Society of Medical Oncology, ESMO, and the Turkish Geriatrics Society.
