She is a graduate of the University of Guadalajara (Mexico), and has a specialization in plastic and reconstructive surgery from the Instituto de Cirugia Reconstructiva Dr. José Guerrerosantos in Guadalajara, Mexico. Returning to Italy in 2011, Dr. Ferrando specialized with honors in Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery at the University of Turin and, again at the same University, in 2017 he completed his doctorate in biomedical sciences and oncology. Subsequently, Dr. Ferrando completed the first level Master's degree in breast surgery at the University of Ancona and is currently attending the second level master's degree in breast oncoplasty at the University of Genoa.

Currently, Dr. Ferrando works for few clinics in Turin as 2nd level Medical Director at the Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery department of the C.T.O.
