Retinitis pigmentosa (mostly known as night blindness or moon-blind), Stargardt's macular dystrophy, age-related macular degeneration, especially dry type (yellow spot disease), and other degenerative retinal diseases take place among the retinal diseases for which stem cell application is done. Among the optic nerve diseases, optic atrophies caused by glaucoma, idiopathic, traumatic, hereditary or other reasons take place. Stem cell treatment can be applied if classical treatment methods do not provide result in such diseases and the disease continues to progress.
