About the clinic
Turbinoplasty reduces enlarged nasal turbinates at Roth Medica in Poznań, Poland. The outpatient procedure uses EVOLVE™ laser therapy with a Leonardo diode laser and local anesthesia. The laser cuts tissue and coagulates blood vessels at the same time, which can reduce bleeding.
Laser treatment and recovery setting
The treatment is intended for people whose enlarged nasal turbinates obstruct breathing. It reduces turbinate size and opens space for airflow. The procedure is performed on an outpatient basis, so a hospital stay is not required.
Roth Medica has 10 otolaryngologists among its 25 doctors. Dr. Maciej Pabiszczak performs lower turbinate reduction and has been an assistant professor at Poznan University of Medical Sciences since 2012.
The clinic uses a Leonardo diode laser from Biolitec. Its ENT equipment also includes Storz endoscopes and a motorized shaver. Turbinoplasty is available for adults and children, with no age limit listed.
Tests before turbinoplasty
Pre-operative blood tests are included in the procedure price. They must be taken no earlier than seven days before treatment. The listed tests include:
- Complete blood count, clotting tests, and CRP
- Electrolytes, glucose, creatinine, and TSH
- Tests for hepatitis B, hepatitis C, and HIV
- Confirmed blood group
Septoplasty, endoscopic sinus surgery, and rhinoseptoplasty are also available at the clinic. Patients can leave a request on Bookimed to learn more about turbinoplasty and discuss whether it may suit their needs.
