Waking up, I felt groggy but managed. The clinic staff were competent, and the surgeon was clear in our consultations. The incision was placed under the breast, which is what I wanted. I am still in the early recovery phase, and it has its challenges. My pain has lessened to a mild discomfort, but sleeping through the night is difficult, and my nipples are uncomfortably hypersensitive. I would like to thank my doctor for his careful attention to my difficult situation. The competence, careful attitude and attention to every little detail is what I really liked. Recovery and scarring were my main concerns going in, and my surgeon handled that really well — he was upfront about how long healing would take and took time to explain and mark where the scars would sit before we even started. The whole body lift happened in one surgery, so it's still too soon to know how the final results will look. The clinic experience itself was a bit mixed — support after the surgery wasn't great, and I barely heard from anyone after I was discharged. On the bright side, there were no hidden or extra costs. My advice to anyone considering this: ask the practical questions upfront — whether the clinic provides meals or you'll need to order food yourself, and whether your surgery and recovery stay happen at the same facility or you'll be moved between a clinic and a hospital.

My experience was amazing. Dr Mustafa was incredible and made me feel completely at ease, and the nurses were so kind and caring throughout the whole process. We were brought straight to the hospital after arriving. Good transfer! Olga, our interpreter, met us at the hospital. She was not only an interpreter but also a counsellor on many issues in Istanbul, as it was the first time we had been here. In the evening we took a blood test and in the morning I was operated. I came out of the anaesthesia easily, already in a new image. The doctor was very attentive, both before the operation, during the examination, and after. Service staff, very nice nurses, even though I did not understand them, but smiled doing their job and did not embarrass me. In the hospital I was with my husband only two nights, I felt good and we moved to the hotel (room large, clean with breakfast included!). We went to the dressing. There was always a transfer! Additionally I want to add about Istanbul - it is very interesting and mysterious city fairy tale! Thank you all who supported me from the very beginning of my decision and to the end! The main thing I worried about was the recovery, and it is definitely a process. At 15 days post-op, sleeping on my back is hard, and the pain is still moderate, though it's manageable. It's not easy. I’m glad that my nipple sensitivity feels normal, which was a specific concern since my surgeon used an incision around the nipple. The surgeon and staff were very capable and provided solid care from start to finish. My best advice for anyone else is what got me through the tougher moments: have patience and trust the procedure.

If I had to give advice to a friend, I’d tell her that recovery is no walk in the park. Fifteen days after the operation, my pain is moderate and manageable, but sleeping is still difficult and my nipples are hypersensitive. What’s more, the range of motion in my arms is severely restricted. The decision to go for the dual-plane technique with the incision under the breast feels right. The surgeon and the clinic were good. I was less satisfied with the staff and the organisation. There’s room for improvement there. Although I mentioned information or queries on several occasions, they were either ignored or people talked around the issue. Communication with the nurses was difficult at times due to their limited English. My best tip for recovery: having someone to accompany you is very important, as you are very dependent on others in all sorts of everyday situations. A water bottle with a straw and tops that open at the front are practical and make the first few weeks easier.

The clinic was disappointing. Instead of the promised surgery start time of 12-13 hours, we found a free operating theatre only at 19:30. The situation was saved by the doctor himself, who was in the clinic all the time and was also waiting for the operating theatre to be given to us. He calmed me down and supported me. Many thanks to him for this, also a big thanks to the interpreter Valeria who was also there for me. Many thanks to the medical staff of the clinic, they are great professionals. The operation was successful, I am completely satisfied with the result. I plan to have a face lift with the same doctor.

However, a woman at any age wants to admire herself, to love herself, to dress beautifully, to feel comfortable, and naturally, to be attractive to her husband. It felt like we had known each other for a long time. We discussed everything, took measurements, eased any remaining concerns, and went for tests at the clinic. The surgery was the next morning. The doctor and anesthetist comfortingly held my hands and smiled, assuring me everything would be fine. As I was given anesthesia, I fell asleep... I awoke as I was being wheeled into the room. That was the hardest moment—I was very cold, experiencing severe shivering and pain. But there was plenty of staff around, along with the doctor and my sister. Hakan reassured me that everything went perfectly! The nurses quickly covered me with two blankets, set up a heater underneath, administered pain medication, and once I warmed up, I fell asleep. The room was very cozy; my sister stayed with me on a nearby couch for the entire day. The staff came frequently, day and night, providing pain relief, antibiotics, and checking blood pressure and temperature. By evening, dinner was served. A nurse helped me get out of bed and use the bathroom for the first time. The next morning, Mukhlisa arrived, uplifted my spirits as always, assisted with the discharge process, and accompanied me by transfer back to the hotel. On the second day, I relaxed in the hotel, watched the series "Magnificent Century" the entire day, drank tea, ate, and chatted with my family by phone. By the third day, I was able to go for a walk with my sister in the evening. On the fourth, we took a taxi to see the beauties of Istanbul—mosques, parks, and cafes. I felt fine, and when my chest tingled, we'd rest before continuing our walk. On the fifth day, I had a check-up with the doctor and team. Hakan, a true gentleman, helped me dress and undress, gently removed the bandages, and pleasantly surprised me with his remarkable work and neat scars. Everything looked aesthetic even then. We watched performances, enjoyed alcohol-free cocktails, and danced just a little without moving my arms. We rested on Sunday, strolled through the evening streets, and flew home the next morning. Nearly three weeks have passed—the swelling is going down, though some areas of numbness remain, and there's occasional tingling and pain. But I've already discarded all my padded bras and, for the first time, bought the thinnest, most attractive bras in my life. My husband hasn't seen much of them yet, as I'm still sleeping in a special bra, on my back, and in a separate bed—but when he did, he expressed his admiration, saying they look naturally beautiful and sexy. It's just a little longer before I can reveal them fully, and I'm sure no one would guess there was any surgical intervention.
