As a plastic surgeon with many years of experience, I can vouch for the Impressive Dr Giovanni Mera and his team—unstoppable when it comes to treating fibrosis after previous liposuction. In this case, the surgery is just as important as the postoperative care, which requires the use of equipment, lymphatic drainage, and a hyperbaric chamber. The permanent, constant care deserves to be highlighted, especially Luzma’s work, who is the best therapist for managing the postoperative period. Without a doubt, this is one of the best specialized clinics in the world for body reshaping. A true luxury!! Both the doctor and his entire team explain in detail that the results of treatment for irregularities after liposuction can take up to a year to become evident—you have to be patient, but it’s absolutely worth it.

I had surgery with Dr. Giovanni on July 29. I was coming from pretty complicated fibrosis, because I had 0 fat in my abdomen, so you could literally see all the fibrosis. In my desperate search, one of the best surgeons in my country (Morocco) recommended Dr. Giovanni to me because she told me that if anyone could help me, it would be him. So I had my online consultation, booked a date, and after a few months I took my two 1,000-hour flights to get operated 🤣. And I thank God for the decision I made, because if I ever had to go back into someone’s hands, it would be his. I want to highlight several things. First, I have digestive problems, and in the hospital they made a mistake with one of the meals—then the doctor’s secretary called personally so that it wouldn’t happen. Second, the post-op. The hardest part was the first 5 days; after that, I was doing quite well for a surgery so big. Third, the care after the surgery. I’m very grateful to Yuremi for her attention and kindness, and for her advice even after I had already gone. And to the doctor for listening to my complaints literally every day. And fourth, my results. I wasn’t an easy patient, I admit it! I cried and I panicked a lot, because at the beginning I didn’t feel like I looked good (swelling and irregularities). But they explained to me that it was a process and that I should be patient. Even one night, because I was so overwhelmed, the doctor contacted me to calm me down. Today, exactly 7 months later, I decided to share my opinion, and I can say that the patience was worth it. It’s a long process… and psychologically I had many setbacks because I wanted everything “for yesterday,” but I was always attended to and everything was explained to me. I value that a lot because in my previous surgery they didn’t listen to me. I only wish I had gone under the doctor’s care right away and not had to go through a fibrosis reconstruction. Really, I will be eternally grateful to Dr. Mera, to the doctor, to Yuremi, and to the entire front desk team and nursing staff. I also wanted to highlight that, from the hospital where the doctor operates, they wrote to me several months later to ask whether everything had gone well—something that really surprised me. They do their follow-up independently. My results are published on the doctor’s page, and my Instagram comes up through the comments. If anyone needs to talk to me, I’m open to it.
