Dr. Illan was awesome! From the first video call with him to the follow up after surgery, he made sure to answer any questions that I had and explained all parts of the procedure in detail. Nothing was rushed and he made sure to visit before surgery to calm my nerves. He is very knowledgeable in regards to the disease of obesity and the long term benefits of surgery.

This is my second surgery with hospital bc. After much research I decided to have my sleeve performed in 2022. Factors weighing into my decision were not just Dr. Illian’s credentials and pedigree, but also of the anesthesiologist, and the hospital itself. I read numerous reviews on google, Facebook groups, and Reddit and couldn’t not find a single negative thing anyone said about the hospital. When it was time for my sleeve i was pleased to find that not only were the reviews were accurate, but exceeded my expectations. When I made the choice to have a mini gastric bypass done, there was no other option in my mind than hospital bc and Dr. Illian. He treats patients as more than just patients, but rather as friends. He has such a friendly disposition that immediately puts you at ease and you can tell that he is genuinely grateful for you and for making the choice to have him as your physician. The man’s skills are unmatched by any doctor or hospital I’ve visited in the states. I came out of the surgery with minimal pain, attentive care from the nurses and supporting staff, and clear and thoughtful instructions from the nutritionist. I will forever be grateful to Dr. Illian and hospital bc for changing my life. If you’re considering bariatric surgery, I can’t recommend him highly enough!
