My experience with Dr. Serrano, María, and the entire staff was beyond anything I could have imagined. From beginning to end, I felt genuinely cared for, understood, and treated as an individual. Dr. Serrano is truly an angel. He does not treat every patient the same or take a one-size-fits-all approach. He takes the time to understand each person, listens carefully, adjusts to your individual needs, and gives you very personal attention. He is gentle, soft-spoken, patient, and incredibly kind, but he is also honest and will always tell you the truth about what you need and what is best for you. He is not the typical surgeon who rushes through appointments, takes your money, performs the surgery, and calls it a day. He genuinely cares about his patients and takes his time with you. His surgeries are truly like works of art. This was my second surgery. I went to Dr. Serrano because I needed him to correct things that had been left wrong from my first surgery with another surgeon. Not only did he do an AMAZING job correcting those issues, but in a way, he also helped heal me emotionally from that first experience. That means more to me than I can explain. Beyond being an exceptional surgeon, Dr. Serrano is simply one of the sweetest human beings. He is like a big teddy bear with a huge heart. ❤️ The accommodations were also five-star. I stayed in the Airbnb he owns directly across the street from the clinic, and it was perfect — adorable, comfortable, clean, and incredibly convenient during recovery. Being able to simply walk across the street for appointments and treatments gave me so much peace of mind. Dr. Serrano also checked on me personally, especially in the beginning, to make sure everything was going well at the Airbnb. And then there is María! ❤️ She handled my postoperative massages and treatments, and she is exceptional at what she does. The treatments use very gentle technology along with light manual massage to help reduce inflammation and swelling. There was absolutely no need for aggressive or painful massages. María knows exactly what she is doing, and I could see and feel the results. She is caring, knowledgeable, patient, funny, and always tried to work around my schedule. She made a part of recovery that could have been stressful feel comfortable and easy. The entire staff treated me with kindness and care throughout the month I was here. After spending so much time with everyone, it honestly feels emotional to leave Colombia and say goodbye to Dr. Serrano, María, and the team. I will truly miss all of you — and I will even miss my little Airbnb across the street! 😊 If I ever need anything in the future, I would absolutely come back to Dr. Serrano without hesitation. I will also recommend him wholeheartedly to anyone considering surgery. Finding a talented surgeon is important, but finding one who combines skill, honesty, compassion, patience, and genuine care is something very special.
