I can't thank the neurosurgeons, ICU, and ward nurses enough for all their efforts! Every aspect of my experience here was positive: the doctors treated me wonderfully, the nurses were attentive, and a genuinely positive atmosphere made the hospital stay as pleasant as possible. I’ll always be grateful for the care I received.

I gave birth at HM Monteprincipe in January. This is my second child, the first being born at a different hospital and the experience was so much better that it is hard to describe just how grateful I am. I had some complications and was admitted to the hospital on New Year's Eve and stayed for 10 days. This meant I was in hospital over New Year's and over Three King's and saw many different teams of people working across the holidays. Every single member of staff that I was in contact with from the midwives to the gynaecologists, from the cleaning staff to the porters were the kindest people I have ever met. Everyone cared about my wellbeing and were there for me whenever I needed. A special thank you to Dr Juan Carlos Miranda Castro who guided me throughout my pregnancy and took a cautious and supportive approach to my last minute complications which put both me and my family at ease. I cannot recommend this hospital enough and will use it for all my future needs.

My gynecologist, part of Gine4, has offices at HM Hospital Monteprincipe. It's always difficult to get appointments. When you do, you have to wait. This time I waited 1 hour to see the doctor. I was told to ask the nurse that works with my doctor for approx. wait time. She became defensive with me. When I entered to see my doctor she seemed unfamiliar with my case, didn't ask how I was doing with the new medication, and didn't apologise for the long wait. It's true, at this point I was angry and frustrated, so I wasn't very friendly, and literally walked out of her office. I'm sure the nurse told her what transpired and therefore, I am even more surprised of the treatment I received from this Gine4 Gynaecologist team, as I am also paying for the private insurance. Patient care is lacking. I hope this changes in the future. However, I'll be looking for another gynaecologist unless I receive some form of communication or follow up with my case. It's been 4 days and no one from Gine4 or HM Hospitales Monteprincipe has contacted me. *Update** the hospital responded to my review and asked that I email them. I did email them. No one has yet responded to my email. It's been almost 4 weeks. Conclusion: customer service is also very poor!

Reasons for 2 stars: * Parking: Although is not in a populated area, the only place you can park is in its parking. Extremely overpriced for the service and the quality of the parking. >3€/hour. This is the only place you can park in the whole area, no alternatives. * Hospital is quite crowded. Lots of people waiting for the appointment. This impacts the quality of the service. * Long waiting time to be attended. We had to wait more than 1.5 hrs for an appointment with the ENT specialist. * Signs to the different areas are missing, difficult to get to the required consultation. In general, doctors and personnel are good although we had to wait 1.5 hours for less than 10 minutes appointment. I will try to choose a different hospital next time I require specialized services.

HORRIBLE PLACE!!! My husband was brought here by ambulance from another HM Hospital in Alcala de Henares. This was not discussed with us. He was brought into a filthy emergency room, no triage assessment, never seen by an ED doctor, (thought they tried to charge us afterward). After an hour, he was transferred to a room in what they call the cardiac unit. The nurses were uncaring and unprofessional. After having a cardiac event, he was not seen by a cardiologist (or any doctor) for seven hours! She finally came and discharged him. It was insanely expensive!! They tried to charge him for services and medications he never received. They took full advantage of foreigners at their worst and vulnerable moment.
