Institute of Clinical and Experimental Medicine was established in 1971. It has SAK accreditation - United Accreditation of the Czech Republic. IKEM consists of Cardiology Centre, Diabetology Centre, and the Transplantation Centre.

Transplantation Center
IKEM Center for Transplant specializes in transplantation of kidney and liver. It is the only center in the Czech Republic where liver transplant is performed even for the infants. Specialists of the Center performed here the first multivessel transplantation (of 5 organs) in 2014.
Cardiology Center
IKEM Cardiology Center is one of the largest and oldest cardiac centers in the Czech Republic. Doctors treat cardiac, cardiovascular disorders diagnosed in adults and children. Cardiology Center consists of 4 specialized departments.
Diabetology Center
It is a leading Center in the Czech Republic specialized in the metabolic and nutrition disorders. Doctors accept even advanced patients.

Chtěl bych poděkovat lidem z Nemocnice IKEM , za záchranu života. Že mi dali druhou šanci žít a ještě toho spoustu prožít , jste opravdoví profesionálové. Od srdce vám děkuji Panu profesorovi Pirkovi , Paní doktorce co mi drátovala hrudník, celému,predoperačnímu i operačnímu týmu . Děkuji sestřičkám spoustu z nich jsem si natolik oblíbil že na ně budu rád vzpomínat je jich spousta samé krásné ženské děkuji Markétě, Mariji, Karin, Ivetě .Monča Lucka super holčina , všechny si vás nepamatuji, druhé patro Lojza a všechny sestřičky . A ještě mé poslední třetí patro , krásné a strašně fajn Ivetě která mě dokázala vždy rozesmát díky Ivet , Máje Iloně samé krásné holky. A holkám co mi mazali záda ❤️ prostě vám všem , děláte skvělou věc jste nejlepší. Díky

skvělý personál , hezké prostředí a wifi 👍😀. Nejvíc mne ale dostalo poděkování dárcům orgánů na desce u vstupu.

I had a gastroscopy in this clinic and it was perfect. I didn’t even feel any discomfort, everything was done accurately, professionally and fast. Staff is very friendly, calmed me down during the procedure. I was able to watch my stomach on the monitor :)
