The clinic uses the no-scalpel technique to minimize discomfort and speed up healing. Instead of a large incision, the doctor makes a single keyhole puncture of just a few millimeters. The sperm ducts are then sealed using cautery to block the passage of sperm. The entire process takes about 15 to 30 minutes under local anesthesia. Patients remain awake and can talk to the medical team throughout the session.
Recovery and Results
Recovery is fast, allowing most patients to return to desk work within 1 or 2 days. Normal daily activities can usually resume within 3 days. Light exercise is possible after one week, though heavy lifting should be avoided for seven days. Minor bruising or aching for 2 or 3 days is normal and managed with cold packs. This procedure does not change testosterone levels, erections, or the appearance of semen.
Follow-up and Effectiveness
A vasectomy is over 99% effective, but it does not work immediately. Men must use other contraception for about 12 weeks or 20 ejaculations. A semen analysis is required at the 12-week mark to confirm the absence of sperm. Menscape Clinic is a men's-only medical clinic in central Bangkok, Thailand, founded in 2015. It brings consultation, diagnostics, treatment, surgery and medication management for men into one private setting. There are two locations: Chidlom (Maneeya Center, Phloen Chit Road, next to BTS Chidlom) and Asok. Both are open every day.
Licensing and team
The clinic is licensed by Thailand's Ministry of Public Health (MOPH), and every doctor is registered with the Medical Council of Thailand. The team of 13 physicians is led by board-certified urologists trained at Siriraj Hospital (Mahidol University), Chulalongkorn University and Thammasat University, and includes a board-certified plastic and reconstructive surgeon, an anti-aging and regenerative medicine physician certified by the American Board of Anti-Aging and Regenerative Medicine, and aesthetic physicians.
