Sleep Apnea Treatment in Roth Medica
About the clinic
Sleep apnea care at Roth Medica in Poznań, Poland, includes sleep studies and airway procedures. ENT consultations may be around $50, fiberoptic examinations around $60, audiological consultations around $90, and sleep apnea surgery around $1,900–$2,000. The clinic offers polysomnography and five airway procedures, including laser surgery.
Sleep apnea testing with sleep studies
- Polysomnography: A sleep study available to help assess sleep apnea before treatment.
- Polygraphic sleep study: Another diagnostic option for evaluating sleep during the night.
- ENT consultation and endoscopy: A specialist can examine the nose, throat, and larynx using an endoscope.
- Fiberoptic endoscopy: A flexible 2.1 mm endoscope is available for children.
- Audiological or phoniatric consultation: These consultations are also available for assessment.
Five airway procedures for sleep apnea
- LAUP laser surgery: A thin optical fiber delivers laser light to reshape or lift the soft palate. This enlarges the airway behind the palate. The outpatient procedure takes about 20 minutes under local anesthesia. EVOLVE and Leonardo diode lasers are used.
- Tonsillectomy: The clinic offers laser removal with an EVOLVE diode laser or classic removal of the palatine tonsils. The laser uses coagulation while cutting. General endotracheal or regional anesthesia is used. Healing after laser surgery takes about 7 days, though pain may last up to 14 days.
- Adenoidectomy: The surgeon removes the pharyngeal tonsil, viewed with a mirror or fiberoptic endoscope. The procedure uses general anesthesia. It may be considered for children with sleep apnea, snoring, or mouth breathing. Recovery includes avoiding physical effort for a few days.
- Septoplasty: This surgery removes or reshapes the deviated part of the nasal septum through an incision inside the nose. It can use general or local anesthesia. A Merocel dressing stays in place for 48 hours, with a check-up on day 7. Full recovery takes about 4–6 weeks.
- Conchoplasty: This outpatient laser procedure reduces enlarged nasal conchae to ease nasal blockage. It uses a diode laser and local anesthesia.
Surgical procedures take place at partner Grunwaldzka Clinic, which has 9 beds in rooms for 2–3 people. Roth Medica received Złote Orły Medycyny awards in 2021, 2022, and 2023. Patients can request a consultation through Bookimed.

Awards and Recognitions
The clinic has earned several domestic awards for medical quality and patient service. It won the Złote Orły Medycyny award three times — in 2021, 2022, and 2023. This recognition is based on high volumes of positive patient feedback.
The clinic also received these recognitions:
- Ranked 3rd in Poznań in the Orły Medycyny ranking
- Nominated for the HIPOKRATES 2026 award
- Over 3,000 documented patient opinions
These achievements reflect the clinic's focus on clinical results and patient satisfaction in the Wielkopolska region.
Otolaryngology (ENT) and Pediatric Care
The ENT department treats both adults and children from age 3. Specialists perform procedures for recurrent tonsillitis and respiratory issues. The clinic uses EVOLVE™ laser therapy for tonsillectomy, which shortens healing to about 7 days.
For patients with nasal and sinus polyps, surgeons perform FESS (functional endoscopic sinus surgery). They use a Shaver device that removes tissue precisely while limiting damage to surrounding areas. This reduces bleeding during the procedure. Pediatric diagnostics include fiberoscopy with a thin, flexible endoscope just 2.1 mm wide.
Neurosurgery and Spine Treatment
The neurosurgery department is led by Prof. Jarosław Andrychowski, a specialist with over 20 years of experience. He has operated on more than 1,000 cerebral artery aneurysms. The team treats several complex conditions:
- Intracranial tumors
- Spinal cord and spinal canal tumors
- Cerebral artery aneurysms
- Nerve decompression for neuro-vascular conflicts
- Endoscopic discectomy for spinal disc issues
Prof. Andrychowski participates in international spine symposiums to stay current with robotics and endoscopy advances. He also holds scholarships from international medical institutions.
Dermatology and Skin Surgery
Dermatological care focuses on early detection and removal of skin lesions. Dr. Adriana Polańska specializes in cryodestruction, which uses extreme cold to remove abnormal tissue. The clinic also uses the CO2 SmaXel surgical laser for precision skin procedures. This allows outpatient removal of moles with minimal scarring.
Diagnostic Technologies
The clinic maintains diagnostic tools to support its 15+ specializations. The cardiology unit performs ECHO, EKG, and 24-hour Holter monitoring for heart rhythm and blood pressure. Sleep studies use polysomnography to analyze breathing patterns during rest.
Specialized diagnostics include:
- Digital dermoscopy and mole mapping
- Video-EEG monitoring for neurological assessment
- Polygraphic sleep studies
- Diagnostic evaluation for autism
- Body composition analysis
These tools help specialists develop accurate treatment plans before surgery or therapy.
Services for Patients
The facility treats a diverse patient base, including international patients. Some specialists completed research and training at the University of Illinois in Chicago. To help with costs, the clinic offers MediRaty – a system for installment payments. This applies to all consultations, diagnostic tests, and surgical operations.
