Prostate cancer Treatment in Safe Urology Clinic
About the clinic
Prostate cancer treatment at Safe Urology Clinic in Istanbul, Turkey, focuses on robotic surgery and minimally invasive focal therapy. Diagnostic check-ups may cost around $1,000–$2,000, while a traditional prostatectomy typically runs $6,500–$10,000 and a robotic procedure is around $10,000–$15,000. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tuncay Taş leads the urology team with over 20 years of experience and a fellowship from Heidelberg University in Germany.
Advanced diagnostics and screening
The clinic provides targeted screenings to detect cancer early or plan precise surgical interventions. Patients receive detailed results to help determine the most effective therapy for their specific case.
- Oncological check-up for men. This screening typically runs $1,000–$2,000.
- Testicular biopsy. This procedure may cost around $1,000–$3,000.
- MRI imaging. This is used specifically for planning focal therapy sessions.
Surgical treatment options
Safe Urology Clinic works with JCI-accredited partner hospitals to perform radical treatments. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tuncay Taş has performed 2,500+ urological procedures and specializes in laparoscopic and robotic techniques.
- Robotic da Vinci prostatectomy. This procedure costs around $10,000–$15,000. It uses the da Vinci Surgical System for high precision. This method helps shorten recovery and lowers the risk of complications.
- Radical prostatectomy. This open surgery option typically runs $6,500–$10,000. It is a more affordable alternative for removing the prostate gland.
Surgical packages for these procedures include the hospital stay, anesthesia, and post-operative care.
Minimally invasive focal therapy
Focal therapy is a middle-ground option for localized cancer. It targets only the largest or highest-grade tumor rather than the entire prostate. This approach helps preserve healthy tissue and sexual function.
- Available techniques. The clinic offers MRI-guided cryoablation, focal laser ablation, and High-intensity focused ultrasound (HIFU).
- Treatment protocol. The procedure takes about 2-3 hours under general anesthesia.
- Recovery timeline. Patients stay in the hospital for 3 days. You should plan to stay in Istanbul for 5 days total. Most patients return to work after 1 week.
Patient support and accreditation
The clinic is recognized as a Coloplast Center of Excellence and an AMS Center of Experience. International patients receive VIP airport transfers and help with hotel arrangements. The clinic also provides free virtual consultations to discuss treatment plans before travel. To learn more about treatment options, you can request a consultation through Bookimed.

Dr. Tuncay Taş – Regenerative Andrology in Turkey
Dr. Taş and his team performed the first PRP (P-Shot) and double PRP applications to the penis in Turkey, and published their clinical results on the efficacy of PRP in erectile dysfunction.
The team also achieved several national firsts in the field of regenerative urology and andrology:
- Cord-derived stem cell injection into the penis;
- Clinical SVF (stromal vascular fraction) therapy performed under sterile operating-room conditions and presented at international congresses;
- Bone-marrow-derived stem cell injection;
- ExoShot and StemBio laboratory exosome injections into the rete testis, launching the first clinical study in Turkey on azoospermia and severe oligospermia;
- Introduction of the Spartan Package, performing flaccid penile lengthening via a scar-free endoscopic technique;
- Autologous fat transfer enriched with stem cells to the penis.
Dr. Taş was among the first three physicians in Turkey (since 2012) to perform FDA-approved ED-1000 shock wave therapy, pioneering its scientific and clinical application for erectile dysfunction and vascular regeneration.
Dr. Taş and his team presented the results of combined PRP (Male P-Shot) and SVF applications to the penis for the first time in Turkey at a scientific congress, sharing the clinical outcomes of these regenerative therapies. He leads one of the first five centers worldwide to publish peer-reviewed clinical results of PRP (P-Shot) therapy and serves as a urology instructor at ISSCA, remaining actively involved in clinical regenerative medicine.
