Erlangen University Hospital that opened 190 years ago is the main reason why Erlangen is considered a city of health and medicine. As the hospital is located in a nice quiet place it is also called a “medical valley” that is in close proximity to hectic urban life.

The hospital itself is famous for its operating room that is considered one of the most advanced in the world, diagnosing and treating techniques, and cutting edge equipment. For example, the most advanced in Europe catheterization lab was opened here last year. Patients who suffer from heart rhythm disorders, heart valve ailments or patient who recover from infarction use the services of this division. Lab equipment that cost some EUR 1.5 million provides 3D images where small details are visible while radiation exposure is 60% less.

For surgeries with high risk of complications robotic equipment is used for several years. Da Vinci robot is used for high precision interventions taking surgery beyond the limits of the human hand. After such treatment the patient recovers quicker and there is no need to remove scars as robot’s high precision leaves no scars. Oncology department offers radiation and chemotherapy and regenerate organs with strip techniques. Specialists of the center are ready to work with patients at any cancer stage and with different complications. Everybody is treated individually. This brought the hospital top-lists in Germany.

Ich bin im Klinikum Erlangen gewesen,weil ich an einem Bandscheibenvorfall in der Halswirbelsäule operiert wurde. Die Pflege war sehr,sehr,sehr gut. Die Schwestern sehr menschlich und fürsorglich. Die Organisation für das Wohl der Patienten perfekt. Danke für die super Pflege.

Wir sind in der Nacht von Sylvester 2019 auf Neujahr als Notfall in der Uniklinik Erlangen gewesen und wollen hiermit unser ausdrückliches Lob und unseren Dank aussprechen. Von der Notaufnahme der Inneren in der wir als erstes waren, obwohl wir dort für die Verletzung am falschen Platz waren, dem Patiententransport der uns in die Augenklinik gefahren hat bis hin zur Behandlung in der Augenklinik und der Chirurgie war das Team durchgängig freundlich, sehr professionell und im Gesamten haben wir uns sehr gut aufgehoben gefüllt. Also absolut 👍👍👍

Die Universitätsklinik Erlangen bietet und ist ein Klinikum der Vollversorgung.Es bietet für Babys, Kinder, Jungendliche und Erwachsene und das für sehr viel Untersuchungsbereiche, Ferner ist auch hier die Notaufnahme die je nach Fachbereich auf verschiedene Häuser aufgeteilt.Hier wird man sehr gut behandelt und auch Versorgt, die Notaufnahme ist für Notfälle da und nicht nur für Personen die einen Schnupfen,einen verbogenen Poppel der in der Nase locker sitzt, die Notaufnahme ist die Personen und Menschen gedacht die um Ihr Leben bangen....und die wirklich erkrankt sind.Das Klinik Personal läuft am Limit und sollte nicht unter den Anfeindungen die Teilweise man als Patient mitbekommt den das Personal kann hier nichts machen, es ist auch der Patienten zu Schulden den sie holen die Schwestern und Pfleger wegen dem Fenster zum Schließen, das ist unnötig!!!Das Personal hilft und Unterstützt so weit es die Zeit zulässt.Die Geduld liegt hier beim Patienten der nicht so erkrankt ist den das Entlastet dass Personal.Das Essen ist sehr gut man kann einiges Auswählen, Wer nicht zufrieden ist sollte sich die Logistik die dahinter steckt Mal überlegen und das betrifft alle Nationalitäten die hier zur Behandlung da sind.Es ist keine Gekaufte Bewertung, es ist das was man Persönlich angesehen und probiert hat.

An einem Donnerstag nachmittag gegen 15 Uhr wurde ich nach einem Sportunfall mit der Diagnose Jochbeinbruch, der sich später in der Klinik als Orbitabodenfraktur, herausstellte von meiner HNO-Ärztin in die Klinik geschickt. Laut ihr ist eine sofortige OP nötig. Das Team um Professor Dr. Iro hat mich ohne große Wartezeiten gut und äußerst freundlich behandelt. Die Op setzten wir dann erst auf nächsten Montag an, da hier das Fenster für die OP dies noch zugelassen hat. Am Montag kam ich dann in der Klinik an und wurde auf der Station aufgenommen und kam dann 2 Stunden später zur OP. Es war meine erste Vollnarkose und ich hatte ziemlich Angst, die sich im nachhinein als absolut unbegründet herausstellte. Die Schwestern im OP versuchten mir sehr einfühlsam die Angst zu nehmen. Ich bin während des kompletten Aufenthalts nur absolut, fast schon ungewöhnlich, freundlichen Ärzten, Schwestern und weiterem Personal begegnet. Auch die von Prof. Dr. Iro selbst durchgeführte Operation ist zu meiner vollsten Zufriedenheit verlaufen. Auch die Nachsorgetermine verliefen ohne Wartzezeit. Danke dafür!

Trubel in der Notaufnahme der Kopfklinik am Samstag Abend. Trotzdem hat das Personal den Überblick behalten, um Verständnis gebeten und auch noch nette, fürsorgliche Worte gefunden. Hut ab vor der Berufsgruppe in der Pflege und dem medizinischen Personal!

Das Krankenhaus ist sehr gut und das Personal von Krankenschwestern und Ärzten und sogar die Rezeption ist sehr nett, aber die Leute müssen oft etwas warten, da draußen ein Geldautomaten von Sparkasse ist.The hospital is very good and the staff of nurses and doctors and even the receptionist is very nice, but people often have to wait a bit because there is an ATM from Sparkasse out there.

Sehr kompetente Ärzte. Fragen werden ausreichend beantwortet. Auch ein dickes Lob den Pflegerinnen und Pflegern. Ich würde jederzeit wieder dorthin gehen. Auch bezüglich Zimmer alles super. gibt nur ein 4 Bett Zimmer, das aber eher das Kurzaufenthalt immer ist. Die anderen alles 2 Bett mit TV direkt über dem Bett. Sehr moderne Gebäude. Was Vor allem auffiel ist, dass man sehr auf Hygiene achtet. Zimmer werden z.B. täglich gereinigt und gewischt.

Ich wurde an der Uni-Klinik ER am Prostata-Krebs 11.05.16 (Gleason Score 10, wer weiß was das heißt, der wird meiner Meinung folgen) operiert. Vier Monate später die vom Tumorboard empfohlene Bestrahlung (mit dem Vero) durchgeführt. Ich kann die gesamte Situation als höchst positiv beschreiben. Vom Chef der Urologie und Strahlenklinik über den Oberärzte bis zum Betreuungs-Team war alles nur bestens. Nach Absetzung der ADT Behandlung in 2018 ist der PSA-Wert noch immer unter der Nachweisgrenze.
