Visit Natural Detox Resort is a private wellness and detox resort located near Lamai Beach on the island of Koh Samui, Thailand. Founded in 2012, the resort specialises in holistic detox, fitness and yoga programmes and today comprises 5 departments with 20 beds, hosting around 850 guests a year from across the world.

History

The resort was founded in 2012 as a small retreat close to Lamai Beach, with a restaurant serving Thai food and a pool. Over the years it expanded its focus on health and detox as the neighbouring Muay Thai gym grew into a fitness centre, and the resort began offering all-inclusive detox packages built around weight loss and full-body health, with no short-cuts.

Today, guests from around the world visit the resort and its superfood café for healthy food, clean and comfortable rooms, and daily workouts and yoga classes.

Approach

The resort's programmes avoid quick-win diets and instead focus on supporting the body's own cleansing process through food and exercise. Guests follow a routine that combines healthy meals, daily exercise to help release toxins, and enough downtime to rest and recover at their own pace. Everyone has different abilities in their personal fitness and yoga practice, and the programmes are adapted to individual goals.

This was my very first solo trip without family or friends, and I was seeking something that would help me truly unwind and reconnect with myself. In my search for a retreat program, I came across Natural Detox — a perfect blend of physical and mental wellness activities. From the moment I arrived, I felt a sense of calm. The entire experience was incredibly refreshing — it gave me a high that lasted long after the retreat ended. This program helped to push me beyond my comfort zone, allowing me to challenge myself in the best possible way. It was both fulfilling and transformative. The food was absolutely amazing — nourishing, delicious, and thoughtfully prepared. The staff were all exceptionally kind and welcoming, which made a big difference, especially since this was my first solo trip. Despite traveling alone, I never felt lonely. In fact, I had the chance to connect with wonderful people from around the world. I’m already looking forward to returning next year. This trip has been a beautiful reminder of the power of stepping out on your own and investing in yourself.

Had a lovely time at visit natural detox. The staff are super kind and welcoming, netta was amazing, the location is nice and the food was delicious. Unfortunately I was battling health issues for the majority of my trip so I was not able to move much but if you are able to make it for each of the activities and watch what you eat you’re basically guaranteed to leave feeling better and fitter than before. The location is convenient, not far from the super market and several spas and the laundry is just right across the street. My interactions with everyone were very pleasant and the resort was very nicely organized. Grateful to have spent time here !

Very good vegetarian food, incredably tasty. Rooms are very clean and quite. The service is fantastic with very friendly and helpful personell. The Resort is located very close to the beach, a walk of ca 5 min to reach the beach. The Natural Detox Resort is worth every single penny as the Yoga , Meditation, hiking and other activities are conducted by very professional and friendly trainers/teachers. Its perfect for all different age groups and great for solo travellers. I spent there 3 weeks and really enjoyed the group dynamics. I for sure will return and can highly recommend this place!

A Truly Fabulous Experience! I’m a 68-year-old woman and spent 8 wonderful days at Visit Natural Detox Resort Samui. It was absolutely fabulous! The yoga, Thai boxing, core strengthening, hikes, and aqua aerobics were all amazing—and the instructors were top-notch. The food was out of this world—healthy, fresh, and delicious. The resort was beautifully clean, the swimming pool was gorgeous, and I felt completely welcomed and at home. It was a joyful, energizing, and very happy experience. I left feeling stronger, lighter, and so grateful. Thank you to the whole team for an unforgettable stay!

The Visit Natural Detox Resort experience is amazing! The place itself is calm and relaxing and the Programme is perfect if you’re into fitness, nutrition and relaxation. The staff is amazing and they create an awesome community of people striving to grow. The best thing were the hikes every morning and the strength and circuit trainings with Netta that were included in the weekly routine to make you stronger and healthier. The food at the Wild Tribe Café is amazing and all the people working at the resort and cafe are very friendly and accommodating. They provide a great routine consisting of fitness, mindfulness and activities that are fun and engaging. Would definitely do it again!!
