The Orthopedics Department of St. Zdislava Hospital in Velke Mezirici deals with the treatment of joints, deformities of legs, therapy of sports injuries. Doctors perform minimally invasive operations - arthroscopy and arthroplasty. Such intervention are carried out through small incisions of 1-2 cm. Patients with severe injuries can undergo endoprosthetics (replacement) of the joints.
The Department includes a specialized unit for Pediatric Orthopedics. Here, children with congenital deformities of the spine, legs, or pelvis are treated.
