How Much Does Knee Arthroscopy Cost in Germany?

The cost of knee arthroscopy in Germany typically ranges from $3,000 to $6,000. Prices can vary depending on the clinic, the surgeon’s experience, the complexity of the procedure (such as meniscus repair vs. cartilage smoothing), and whether advanced equipment is used. In the United States, the average cost is $10,000 (per AAOS). Knee arthroscopy in Germany is about 55% less than in the U.S.

German clinics usually include pre-op assessment, the arthroscopic procedure itself, anesthesia, surgical materials, short hospital stay, and initial follow-up care. In the U.S., the listed price often covers just the surgeon’s fee, with anesthesia, hospital charges, and aftercare billed separately. Always confirm what each clinic’s package covers before booking.

The clinic is probably a good one, but everything was organized very illiterate and ugly, I planned to get to a specific doctor, who eventually turned out not to receive in this clinic, nobody told me about this, I was examined, I did not need.
