How Much Does Knee Arthroscopy Cost in Israel?

Knee arthroscopy in Israel typically costs from $5,800 to $8,500. The final price depends on the procedure complexity, the hospital type, and the chosen surgeon. In the US, similar procedures cost around $10,000 on average. Patients save around 28% compared to US prices. Standard international patient quotes usually include the surgical procedure, anesthesia, and initial post-operative consultations.

  • Main medical hubs: Major centers are located in Tel Aviv, Herzliya, Ramat Gan, and Haifa.
  • Hospital type: Private facilities like Assuta often charge more but allow patients to choose their surgeon.
  • Public vs private: Opting for a public hospital can reduce surgical costs by 20-30%.
  • Diagnostic fees: Pre-operative tests like MRI or X-ray are often billed separately from the surgery.

Bookimed Expert Insight: Choosing a private facility like Assuta Medical Center provides the unique advantage of selecting a specific attending physician. This is ideal for those seeking renowned experts like Dr. Ron Arbel or Dr. Aviram Gold. While standard arthroscopy at Sourasky typically runs about $13,100, these top-tier centers offer a 90% success rate. This balance of elite specialization and high volume makes Israel a premier destination for complex sports medicine.

"Israel is a really high level and professionalism of doctors
Hello! Thank you for organizing my mom’s treatment. The host, organizers, are professionals and have done everything possible for quick surgery and meeting with doctors. Denis and his team seem to be working around the clock. Great fellows! Doctors are awesome! Attentive and very caring. And most importantly, knowledgeable. The operation went well and we are very pleased with everything. The room was comfortable. All that is needed. The only thing is Ichilov Center - a state hospital, the attendants did not always provide the services expected from them. But our host always did everything possible to quickly eliminate certain situations. They patronized us constantly. Israel is a really high level and professionalism of doctors. We were very pleased.
