How Much Does Neck lift Cost in Mexico?

Neck lift surgery in Mexico costs $4,050 USD on average, ranging from from $2,800 to $4,100 depending on the clinic and procedure complexity. This is $13,000 cheaper than the United States average of $13,000-$18,000, saving patients $8,000-$14,000 per procedure.

Based on data from 146 verified clinics that have served 35,916 international patients, Mexico offers board-certified surgeons and JCI-accredited facilities at a fraction of North American prices.

Key Benefits
A neck lift in Mexico offers significant cost savings, with prices typically around $4,050, compared to the US where costs can be significantly higher. This cosmetic procedure, aimed at reducing sagging skin and wrinkles on the neck, is popular among those seeking a more youthful appearance. Mexico is an attractive destination for medical tourism, particularly in cities like Tijuana and Cancun. Clinics provide high-quality care using modern facilities and techniques, ensuring adherence to international standards. It's important to choose experienced surgeons to ensure a safe and successful outcome.

Factors affecting Neck lift cost in Mexico

Cost variables to consider:

  • Board-certified plastic surgeons with AMCPER or ISAPS credentials can charge 25%–35% more for their expertise.
  • Clinics accredited by JCI or affiliated with ASPS may charge 15%–20% more.
  • Procedures performed in major cities like Cancun or Mexico City can cost up to 30% more due to medical tourism demand.
  • Extended neck lift techniques such as platysmaplasty can increase costs by 20%–30% due to added surgical time.
  • Use of FDA-approved sutures and materials can add 10%–15% to the price for higher quality and safety.
  • Overnight hospital stays after surgery can increase the total bill by $400–$800 per night.

Why is a neck lift cheaper in Mexico than in the U.S. or Canada?

A neck lift in Mexico costs approximately $4,050 compared to significantly higher prices in the U.S. and Canada, primarily due to lower labor costs, reduced facility overhead, and streamlined administrative expenses. These structural differences allow clinics in Mexico to offer quality procedures at a fraction of North American prices without compromising safety standards.

Labor represents the largest cost advantage, with physician wages in Mexico approximately 65% lower than in the U.S. according to comparative labor cost analyses. Mexican doctors graduate with substantially less educational debt, reducing financial pressure to charge premium fees. Additionally, malpractice insurance premiums in the U.S. surged 49.8% between 2023–2024, while Mexican surgeons face minimal insurance costs. Facilities like Marroquín & Sandoval Plastic Surgery Clinic (5.0 rating) and José Cortés Institute (5.0 rating) maintain international certifications including ASPS, ISAPS, and JCI accreditation while operating with 40–50% lower facility overhead for rent, utilities, and maintenance.

Administrative complexity adds 17% to U.S. hospital expenses due to insurance billing systems, according to the American Hospital Association, whereas Mexican clinics using direct-pay models avoid this overhead entirely. Medical supplies and pharmaceuticals typically cost less in Mexico due to local manufacturing and regulatory structures. The currency exchange rate (approximately 18.5 pesos per USD in 2025) further amplifies savings for international patients. Standard packages at facilities like Alice Beauty Clinic (4.3 rating) include consultation, 1-day hospitalization, transfers, and 3-day hotel accommodation for $4,050, bundling costs that U.S. facilities bill separately.

Verify surgeon credentials through the Mexican Council of Plastic Surgery and confirm facility holds current JCI or COFEPRIS accreditation before booking to ensure internationally recognized safety standards.

What is typically included in the cost of a neck lift package in Mexico?

A neck lift package in Mexico typically includes surgeon's professional fees, licensed anesthesiologist services, operating room and facility charges, pre-operative medical tests, post-operative medications, compression garments, and multiple follow-up consultations. Comprehensive packages for international patients often add hotel accommodation (3–4 days), airport transfers, and bilingual patient coordination.

Core medical services cover all essential surgical components. The surgeon's fee accounts for the procedure itself, while the anesthesiologist fee covers sedation and monitoring throughout surgery. Facility charges include the operating room, surgical equipment, medical staff support, and typically 1 day of hospitalization for post-operative observation. Pre-operative evaluations such as blood work and EKG ensure surgical safety, as required by COFEPRIS (Mexico's Federal Commission for Protection Against Sanitary Risks). Initial medications for pain control and infection prevention, plus a medical-grade compression garment, are standard inclusions. Facilities like Hospital de la Familia and Alice Beauty Clinic include these core services in packages ranging from $4,050–$6,350.

All-inclusive packages bundle non-medical logistics for medical tourists. Most comprehensive options include 3–4 nights of hotel accommodation near the clinic, round-trip airport transfers, and local transportation to appointments. Some packages provide bilingual patient coordinators who assist with medical instructions, scheduling, and follow-up support throughout the recovery period. The International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ISAPS) recommends these support services as best practice for international surgical patients. However, transportation inclusion varies—Alice Beauty Clinic includes regular transfers, while Hospital de la Familia does not.

Verify that your chosen facility holds current COFEPRIS certification and that the surgeon maintains active membership in the Mexican Council of Plastic, Aesthetic and Reconstructive Surgery before booking treatment.

What factors can influence the final price of the procedure?

The final price of a neck lift in Mexico depends on procedure complexity, facility type, surgeon expertise, package inclusions, and market dynamics. Standard neck lift packages start at $4,050, while combined facelift and neck lift procedures reach $6,350, demonstrating how adding procedures increases total costs.

Package inclusions significantly affect pricing—Hospital de la Familia's $6,350 combined package covers general anesthesia, preoperative tests, medications, follow-up examinations, 2 days hospitalization, and 2 days in a 4-star hotel, while Alice Beauty Clinic's standard $4,050 package includes consultation, 1 day hospitalization, transfers, and 3 days hotel accommodation. Facility accreditations like ISAPS, ASPS, AMCPER, and JCI may influence pricing through enhanced credibility and compliance standards.

Surgeon reputation and facility ratings impact costs—top-rated clinics like Marroquín & Sandoval Plastic Surgery Clinic (5.0 rating), José Cortés Institute (5.0 rating), and Riviera Institute For Plastic Surgery (5.0 rating) may command premium pricing. Research from JAMA Network shows that provider consolidation can increase procedure prices by 11–28%, while AJMC reports hospital outpatient departments charge 2–3 times more than ambulatory surgery centers for identical procedures. Geographic location within Mexico, local market competition among 146 clinics offering neck lifts, and the 35,916 procedure requests served also create regional price variations.

Compare package details across multiple accredited facilities and verify surgeon CMCPER certification before committing to treatment.

Can I ensure the quality of care for a neck lift in Mexico despite the lower cost?

Yes, you can ensure high-quality care for a neck lift in Mexico by verifying surgeon credentials and facility accreditations. Well-regulated Mexican centers achieve complication rates comparable to U.S. benchmarks. The lower cost reflects Mexico's reduced operational expenses, not compromised quality standards.

Verify your surgeon holds CMCPER certification (Mexican Council of Plastic, Aesthetic, and Reconstructive Surgery) and preferably ISAPS membership, indicating adherence to global ethics standards. Top-rated surgeons like Dr. Marco Tulio Marroquin Batres and Dr. Jose Cortes maintain these certifications. Choose facilities with JCI accreditation or COFEPRIS licensing—Mexico has 4 JCI-accredited facilities as of 2025. Leading clinics such as José Cortés Institute (5.0 rating) and Marroquín & Sandoval Plastic Surgery Clinic (5.0 rating) hold ISAPS, ASPS, and AMCPER accreditations.

Comprehensive pre-operative evaluation is essential. The American Society of Plastic Surgeons recommends thorough medical history, lab work, anesthesia assessment, and detailed consent discussions. Plan to stay in Mexico for 1–2 weeks post-surgery for proper monitoring—standard packages at facilities like Hospital de la Familia include 1-day hospitalization and 3-day hotel accommodation. Structured follow-up through telemedicine visits allows early complication detection and supports the 81.6–98.6% satisfaction rates reported in recent systematic reviews.

Confirm your surgeon and staff provide clear communication in English or through professional interpreters, as language barriers can delay care. Always verify active CMCPER certification through their online directory and confirm current facility accreditation before booking treatment.

The hospital advertised was not the one I went to. The operating room was thrown together i my opinion. Hardly anyone spoke English so I had a difficult time with the forms. I didn't even get a copy. After the surgery I was left on my back overnight night and was told I'll be ok. Once finally discharged the next morning, I only received antibiotics and ibuprofen. No instructions on how and what to do afterwards. I felt like they did what they was supposed to and dropped me off in the streets to fend for myself

The surgeon was good but the coordinator Carlo made too many mistakes. 1. Didn’t book continuous days at hotel. 2. As a result, I was kicked out of room the day I was in surgery. . 2. Need more after care days to remove drainage. I was abruptly kicked out of TJ while I was still feeling weak. Needed more days in Tijuana. At least 2 more. Return to America and no one wanted to remove drainage tubes. 3. The day nurse talked bad about me to everyone. The night nurse , Paulina was perfect. I would never recommend surgery in Mexico. No need to go viral with this because all of USA know this. Mexican are much better at picking fruits!

my results are far and beyond my wildest expectations
The staff were UNBELIEVABLY kind! I felt I was well listened to, my needs were met, and my results are far and beyond my wildest expectations. If I decide to have more plastic surgery, I will, without hesitation come back here.
How I was listened to and cared for and Dr. Ayala's warm, affable nature.
There were some bumps in terms of communication initially that was frustrating, but we got over that quickly and it stopped being an issue

Their staff was very accommodating and thoughtful - everyone was super nice and considerate, especially Sara and Maria
First off, I used Aura Wellness Center, instead of Alice Beauty Clinic. And, their staff was very accommodating and thoughtful - everyone was super nice and considerate, especially Sara and Maria. Sara was the best English speaker there and helped me with everything. Maria was kind, warm, and also a great English speaker. They made it less lonely since I had this journey alone. Through Bookimed, I was assisted by Confidence, she was super thoughtful and checked up on me. She made sure I had connections with my medical coordinator and doctor. My coordinator was named Carlos. He was kind, answering all my questions and even texted me after my surgery numerous time to ensure I was recovering and satisfied with my results. My doctor was Dr. Ayala. I can't say much about him since he was in and out of the surgery room. I met him briefly. And, I'm unsure of my results as I am only one month post-op.
The staff at the clinic was accommodating. The coordinator from Bookimed and from the doctor ensured my questions were answered.
Dr. Ayala's brevity and lack of check up after the surgery. I didn't meet him more than 15 (when I was conscious since I was under anesthesia when he operated on me).

The staff and doctors were extremely knowledgeable and very supportive to all of my care needs
The staff and doctors were extremely knowledgeable and and very supportive to all of my care needs. Everyone was very personable and caring and consistent at every turn. I felt safe and confident. Even more so than when n the states.
I liked how Dr Navarro came in and administered my tests himself. That never happens in the states.
I honestly can’t think of anything negative to say.

I felt like both were done taking exactly what I wanted into account and the overall symmetry at the end for my nostrils was excellent - my nose had been broken and before surgery lack of symmetry was a big issue
I had a really great experience with my doctor and care here. I wanted a very natural looking nose, not to look "doll-like" or like I had a rhinoplasty. Same for lip filler. I felt like both were done taking exactly what I wanted into account and the overall symmetry at the end for my nostrils was excellent - my nose had been broken and before surgery lack of symmetry was a big issue. I believe it required different degrees of cutting for each nostril so I'm very impressed that the end result's symmetry appears less than 1mm different from one another, that's a huge improvement from before. The shape is really nice and I was impressed that after surgery the packing was done in such a way that I was able to breathe through my nose the whole time, even during my recovery.

Terrible surgeon. Will not take the time to speak with you, when he does he knows limited English and is very very rushed. The first time me he gave me results that were so drastic I looked like a pig or someone from who-ville. I had to pay for a second surgery for him to give me my old nose but even worse! (Again super rushed, had zero time to make a decision). Absolutely awful experience. Scary. He refused to even try to fix my nose now for another 6 months. Even though I offered to pay again. Have to date and see friends humiliated with a half finished face. Go to someone with talent and who actually cares. He doesn’t. You are just a number to the surgeons there.

Dr. Marraquin was amazing. He spent over an hour with me on my consultation before my surgery. Let me know absolutely everything that was going to happen. His years of training is quite obvious to anybody who is requesting his services. He answered every question I could possibly think of. Additionally, he was available through text messaging 24 hours a day. He’s response time was impressive. I was very pleased with the outcome of my facelift. I would refer him to any buddy I know.
