Bookimed Expert Insight: Chiang Mai acts as Thailand's specialized hub for refined, Korean-inspired aesthetic techniques at lower regional rates. Local surgeons like Dr. Chen Chaichanchip bring international expertise from South Korea and Europe directly to this more affordable market. Clinics such as Munare Clinic Chiangmai hold AACI accreditation, proving that lower costs in the North do not mean sacrificing international safety standards.

Data verified by Bookimed as of June 2026, based on patient requests and official quotes from 132 clinics worldwide. Median costs are based on real invoices (2025–2026) and updated monthly. Actual prices may vary.

the surgeon is very skilled and his stitches are wonderful
The whole process from initial consult to surgery and follow up after care were good. I was very happy the care received from the admin staff and the surgical team. The nurses were so gentle. the surgeon is very skilled and his stitches are wonderful. I would be so happy to undergo further procedures at this clinic. The hotel was also great.
The outcome was great and my surgeries were separated into two - and the bleph was done under local for increased safety and to reduce time under general anesthetic - which is good.
Everything was good no negative feedback

The anesthesiologist never spoke to me personally although I had concerns about general anesthesia. I was feeling sick and sleepy after surgery, so I was not able to ask for cold packs to minimize swelling and bruising till hours later. I think the nursing staff should have initiated it, or at least offered the cold packs. I had significant swelling and bruising for several days. I looked frightening the first week, so much so that I couldn't use 'face recognition' app. I still don't like 'the new look' of my face. Feel like it has been pulled too tight. And the extra folds of the eyelids which was the reason I wanted corrective surgery, are still present and not improved.
About Bookimed service
Mixed experience. Overall good service, but surgical outcome has been less favorable than I was hoping for (2 months later).

I enjoyed my experience, due to staff being friendly and understanding
I enjoyed my experience, due to staff being friendly and understanding . I felt very comfortable and understood. I would definitely recommend this clinic to anyone. I got lipo and a BBL done, so as you can imagine that was quite scary. But the medical team are very calm and reassuring.

My only issue was the availability of staff after my surgery. I was placed in a room and was only checked on once during my 3 hours recovery. I had to call a nurse to ask if I could discharged.I was fortunate that my husband was with me.
