But overall I'm really happy with my experience with the ID Clinic team ☺️
Ice was one of the nurses who collected me from the airport. She was so kind for waiting nearly two hours for me due to a delay I had. She helped me so much after my surgery too. Another nurse Marge was wonderful. She helped with translation and my aftercare, she was so gentle when helping take out my stitches. I thank all of the nursing staff, they were all wonderful in their own way and treated me very well. I wish I could have spoken with the doctor more, he always seemed in a rush, I know he is a very busy man but if he could slow down just a bit it would help the patient care factor improve. But overall I'm really happy with my experience with the ID Clinic team ☺️ I only took two pictures of the inside of my overnight room, the clinic was very clean and comfortable and beautiful 🙏
The staff and nurses were exceptional!
Not enough conversation with the doctor, he seemed in a hurry

Thank you ID Clinic, I highly recommend
I am happy with the expertise provided by the doctor. He understood and have my needs by explaining his technique in tummy tuck and liposuction and compared other techniques he has used before. Shout out to Ice and Marj who went above and beyond to put me at ease with my procedures. The hotel inclusive of the package was a great touch in being closer to the doctor for pain relief and further enquiries. The doctor structured procedures in different days to ensure that the body can heal between procedures. I will be happy with the result once scarring and swelling have subsided. Thank you ID Clinic, I highly recommend.
That doctor has been in practice for long and knew the best technique to use.
The lack in providing a clear structure of what to expect post healing of which a checklist can be provided to the patient abd provide assurance and further understanding.
About Bookimed service
Bookimed response time was efficient and they communicated to the clinics which they had referred me to about my concerns and pricing. They provided me with 5% off and $100US from procedures from referals that I gave. A middle person is required to advocate for me during tough healing situations.

The overall experience was one of the most pleasant I've ever had
The team is very caring, and loving. They took care of me as they would of a family member, not just a patient at the clinic. The overall experience was one of the most pleasant I've ever had.

FAQ about Double Chin Liposuction in Thailand

These FAQs come from real patients seeking medical assistance through Bookimed. Answers are given by experienced medical coordinators and trusted clinic representatives.

How do I arrange for travel and accommodation while ensuring comfort and convenience during recovery?

Many clinics offer packages that include airport transfers, hotel accommodations, and meals tailored for recovery comfort. Confirm these details with your clinic when planning your trip to ensure seamless logistics. Opting for accommodations close to the clinic can also facilitate easy access for follow-up appointments.

What are the financial implications if complications arise post-surgery?

Financial implications can vary depending on the nature of complications and required treatments; therefore, it's important to discuss potential costs with your clinic beforehand. Ensure you have comprehensive travel insurance that covers medical procedures abroad for added financial protection. Understanding all terms related to post-surgical care costs is essential before proceeding.

How can I manage any emotional stress or anxiety about undergoing surgery abroad?

Managing stress involves thorough research about the procedure, surgeon, and clinic beforehand to build confidence in your decision. Consider speaking with previous patients who had similar experiences or seeking support from friends or family members. Practicing relaxation techniques such as meditation or deep breathing exercises can also help alleviate anxiety.

What are the chances of unsatisfactory results or needing additional procedures?

The chances of unsatisfactory results are generally low when performed by an experienced surgeon; however, individual healing responses can vary. Discuss realistic expectations during your consultation to understand potential outcomes. In some cases, minor touch-ups may be needed to achieve desired results.

Are there language barriers that could affect my understanding of the procedure and care instructions?

Most clinics catering to international patients in Thailand employ English-speaking staff or provide translation services to ensure clear communication. It's advisable to confirm language support availability during your initial inquiries. Understanding all aspects of your care plan is crucial for a smooth surgical experience.

What if I need follow-up care once I return home from Thailand?

If follow-up care is needed after returning home, many clinics offer virtual consultations to monitor your progress. Ensure you have access to local healthcare providers who can assist with any immediate concerns. It's important to maintain open communication with your Thai surgeon for guidance on any postoperative issues.

How do I ensure the clinic in Thailand meets international health and safety standards?

To ensure the clinic meets international health and safety standards, check if it is accredited by organizations like JCI. Research online reviews from past patients and inquire about the clinic's hygiene protocols and equipment sterilization procedures. A reputable clinic will provide transparent information regarding their certifications and safety measures.

What qualifications should I look for in a surgeon performing this procedure in Thailand?

When choosing a surgeon in Thailand, ensure they are board-certified by reputable organizations such as ISAPS or equivalent national bodies. Verify their experience in performing liposuction procedures and check patient reviews or before-and-after photos of their work. A consultation can also help assess their communication style and professionalism.

Is there a risk of noticeable scarring after the procedure?

The risk of noticeable scarring is minimal since the incisions made during double chin liposuction are usually small, around 2 to 3 millimeters. Surgeons often use techniques that minimize scarring and promote better healing. Proper wound care and following your surgeon's advice can further reduce the risk of visible scars.

How long is the recovery period for double chin liposuction?

The recovery period for double chin liposuction typically lasts about 3 to 5 days, with most patients resuming normal activities within a week. Full results may take several weeks to become apparent as swelling subsides. Adhering to postoperative care instructions is crucial for optimal recovery.

Will I experience significant pain or discomfort during and after the procedure?

During the procedure, you will be under anesthesia, so you should not feel pain. Post-surgery, it's common to experience mild discomfort, swelling, and bruising for a few days, which can be managed with prescribed pain medications. Wearing a compression garment as advised by your surgeon can also help reduce swelling and support recovery.

What are the potential risks and complications of double chin liposuction?

Potential risks and complications of double chin liposuction include infection, bleeding, asymmetry, and changes in skin sensation. While these are rare, choosing a board-certified surgeon and following postoperative care instructions can minimize these risks. Always discuss any concerns with your surgeon prior to the procedure.
