How Much Does Belt Lipectomy Cost in Thailand?

The cost of a belt lipectomy in Thailand typically ranges from $5,000 / ฿170,000 to $5,800 / ฿197,200. Prices can vary depending on the clinic, the surgeon’s experience, and the complexity of the procedure, such as whether muscle tightening or additional liposuction is required. In the United States, the average cost is $20,000 / ฿680,000 (per ASPS). This means belt lipectomy in Thailand is about 73% less than in the U.S.

Most Thai clinics include the initial consultation, pre-op blood tests, post-op medication, follow-up visits, and 24/7 patient support. You’ll also get personalized treatment plans, English-speaking staff, and meals during your clinic stay. In the U.S., the listed price often covers only the surgeon’s fee, with separate charges for anesthesia, hospital stay, and aftercare. Always confirm exactly what’s included before booking your procedure.

The assistants and the doctors were great, clear explanations, details
The assistants and the doctors were great, clear explanations, details. The care from the assistant before operation and after, the next day it was great. However, the grab taxis for consultations were not very comfortable—not spacious, not comfortable, old tapestry, smell inside, which made us feel annoyed before surgery when already nervous and irritated. When we came back for post-operative checking we already made an appointment but in the end we had to wait 2 hours more from the appointed hour.

The staff deserves a special mention for being so supportive
One of my biggest worries was the potential for hidden costs, but I was relieved to find there were no additional expenses on top of what the clinic quoted. The staff deserves a special mention for being so supportive. They've stayed in touch and have been very easy to reach, which is reassuring during recovery from my traditional liposuction on two areas. What stood out about my surgeon was how carefully he marked the areas before we went into the operating room. My recovery is going about as expected so far. The whole process was handled professionally.

The staff were fantastic and supportive through every step
I am noticing some subtle changes to my contour, which is encouraging. The staff were fantastic and supportive through every step. The surgeon was professional, though I had minor reservations. My main issue was with the clinic on the surgery side itself; the facilities felt a bit outdated and could use an upgrade. For that reason, my recommendation score is a 7. The people are wonderful, but the physical clinic has room for improvement.

But overall I'm really happy with my experience with the ID Clinic team ☺️
Ice was one of the nurses who collected me from the airport. She was so kind for waiting nearly two hours for me due to a delay I had. She helped me so much after my surgery too. Another nurse Marge was wonderful. She helped with translation and my aftercare, she was so gentle when helping take out my stitches. I thank all of the nursing staff, they were all wonderful in their own way and treated me very well. I wish I could have spoken with the doctor more, he always seemed in a rush, I know he is a very busy man but if he could slow down just a bit it would help the patient care factor improve. But overall I'm really happy with my experience with the ID Clinic team ☺️ I only took two pictures of the inside of my overnight room, the clinic was very clean and comfortable and beautiful 🙏
The staff and nurses were exceptional!
Not enough conversation with the doctor, he seemed in a hurry

The surgery is performed at the clinic not at a hospital which concerned me (were they prepared if something went wrong), the rooms opened up to the front desk where people would come for appointments and the toilet was across reception. I felt I didn't have much privacy and was very exposed. Nurses would not always come especially at night when I needed assistance to the toilet. I would be waiting at my hotel for a car and they would have forgotten to send one so the organisation level was not very good. It wasn't a very friendly/caring environment i felt. The communication was very poor too, there was one lady there that spoke English and she never smiled it just didnt feel good. I spoke to the doctor very briefly on surgery day and then he never spoke to me again. I wouldnt go back, ive had surgery in Thailand before and had a far better experience.
The nurses who cleaned my bandages and helped with my compression garments were lovely.
Room quality, upfront about procedures being done in a small operating room at a small clinic not hospital (was about 10 steps from reception), assistance and attentiveness (I didnt get fed after surgery i had to ask for food and they gave me boiled rice, then they also forgot about my breakfast), needs massive improvement in communication and organisation. More support and care. Doctor follow up post surgery should be done.
About Bookimed service
My experience with Bookimed prior to surgery was okay but I was really disappointed with the clinic having had it recommended by Bookimed. There should have been alot I should have been told about prior regarding the clinic and I voiced what was happening but I dont think much will be done about it but I just hope noone else has a similar experience as mine.

Very thorough and attentive medical staff
Very thorough and attentive medical staff. Vip like attention to detail and care. I was apprehensive if this was the right clinic for lipo as most of their services centred around aesthetics fillers and botox and those stuff. Had lipo on my abs and flanks, and I can already see the results after 10 days. Dr Aim really knows what she’s doing. Their BISP clinic is really comfy, they should prob move major procedures there in the future as it’s bigger than the Big C one. Thank you Siam Clinic.
VIP level attention to care and concerns
Maybe just a little cramped clinic at Big C. But just a minor gripe.

Overall, I happy with my liposuction and tummy tuck procedure
My surgeon was excellent however, when I asked about the risks, he didn’t reply. The medical staff/nurses were excellent, however, there was only 1 nurse who spoke English well but she was unavailable for 2 of my medical appointments (not her fault, she was in the OR). As a result, I had to rely on the translator for information. She often didn’t ask other nurses for information, so I felt I wasn’t getting specific medical information related to my recovery but rather general information. In my opinion, this shouldn’t happen and is a shortcoming of the clinic which can easily be rectified through feedback. My other observation is the cost of the procedure changed three times. Bookimed stated “The average cost of Liposuction in Thailand ranges from $2,177 to $6,444.” No currency was listed, I found out from Adam on WhatsApp the currency was THB. That would indicate that bookimed low-balled the cost considerably. Your personal medical coordinator is Dr. Marsela Canameti. The treatment price ranges from $2,000 to $3,500 USD, depending on the specifics of your case. Program description: The patient is good candidate to the Vaser liposuction and tummy tuck surgery . This procedure cost 4500 USD. The day of my surgery, when I was asked to pay, I was told that if I used a credit card, I would have to pay a 3% surcharge. That should have been mentioned on the day of my consultation. The day before, when I paid the $500 USD deposit with my credit card, they didn’t mention a surcharge. I made the maximum payment on my debit card, then they charged my credit card twice and said they didn’t charge me the extra 3%. Overall, I happy with my liposuction and tummy tuck procedure, continue to recover and need to wait 1-2 or months to be fully recovered and see the final result. I would recommend the ID clinic.
The care and empathy demonstrated by the nurses after my procedure

About Bookimed service
Bookimed was often behind/not keeping up with the progress of my case. In the bookimed chat they told me I had to pay $200 for my appointment. I asked why or how to pay but didn’t get an answer. Seems your medical coordinator is currently not in the workplace. Your message is delivered, and they will respond to you as soon as they are back! Your patience is appreciated, In WhatsApp, I was asked if I needed the clinic address. My consultation appointment was at 11am, so by the time I was asked this was 3 hours too late, I already had my consultation and was already at a hospital getting my medical tests. Thank you ID Clinic, I highly recommend
I am happy with the expertise provided by the doctor. He understood and have my needs by explaining his technique in tummy tuck and liposuction and compared other techniques he has used before. Shout out to Ice and Marj who went above and beyond to put me at ease with my procedures. The hotel inclusive of the package was a great touch in being closer to the doctor for pain relief and further enquiries. The doctor structured procedures in different days to ensure that the body can heal between procedures. I will be happy with the result once scarring and swelling have subsided. Thank you ID Clinic, I highly recommend.
That doctor has been in practice for long and knew the best technique to use.
The lack in providing a clear structure of what to expect post healing of which a checklist can be provided to the patient abd provide assurance and further understanding.
About Bookimed service
Bookimed response time was efficient and they communicated to the clinics which they had referred me to about my concerns and pricing. They provided me with 5% off and $100US from procedures from referals that I gave. A middle person is required to advocate for me during tough healing situations.

FAQ about Belt Lipectomy in Thailand

These FAQs come from real patients seeking medical assistance through Bookimed. Answers are given by experienced medical coordinators and trusted clinic representatives.

What is included in a typical Belt Lipectomy package at Thai facilities?

Belt Lipectomy packages in Thailand typically include the 360-degree surgical procedure, board-certified anesthesia, and a hospital stay of 1 to 5 nights. These bundles often incorporate pre-operative blood work, medical-grade compression garments, and local transfers between the airport, hotel, and JCI-accredited facilities in Bangkok.

  • Medical fees: Covers the primary surgeon, anesthesiologist, and nursing staff during the operation.
  • Hospitalization: Includes 1–2 nights at budget clinics or 3–5 nights in mid-tier facilities.
  • Diagnostic tests: Standard inclusions feature CBC blood work, EKG, and sometimes chest X-rays.
  • Recovery essentials: Packages generally provide initial post-operative medications and one basic medical-grade faja.

Bookimed Expert Insight: While many clinics like Asia Cosmetic Hospital report high success rates, the definition of all-inclusive varies significantly by price tier. Mid-tier packages ranging from $12,000 to $18,000 typically offer the best value by including several nights of professional nursing care. Budget options often exclude drain removal fees or extended medication costs, which can add 20% to your final bill.

Patient Consensus: Patients emphasize that while core surgical costs are covered, you should budget extra for high-quality compression garments. Many recommend getting the revision policy in writing, as touch-ups are rarely included in the initial package price.

What exactly is a belt lipectomy?

A belt lipectomy is a circumferential surgical procedure that removes a continuous band of excess skin and fat from the entire waistline. This 360-degree contouring technique simultaneously addresses the abdomen, hips, flanks, and lower back while lifting the buttocks and outer thighs.

  • Treatment scope: Removes a full circle of tissue to treat the entire lower torso area.
  • Primary candidates: Ideal for patients with significant weight loss seeking to remove hanging skin.
  • Surgical duration: Procedures typically last 4 to 7 hours and include abdominal muscle tightening.
  • Recovery timeline: Most patients return to light activities in 2 to 3 weeks after surgery.

Bookimed Expert Insight: Thailand offers a unique quality-to-cost ratio where JCI-accredited facilities like Sikarin Hospital serve over 250,000 patients annually. While US prices average $20,000, Thai clinics offer the same procedure starting from $5,000. This 73% saving often allows patients to recover in 4-star medical suites with dedicated nursing care.

Patient Consensus: Patients emphasize that this surgery provides dramatic waist definition that exercise cannot achieve. Many recommend bringing a companion to Thailand for support during the initial 2-week recovery phase.

What is the expected recovery timeline after Belt Lipectomy?

Recovery after belt lipectomy typically requires 6 to 8 weeks for a return to daily activities. Patients generally remain in a Thai hospital for 1 to 3 days. Full healing and final aesthetic results stabilize between 6 and 12 months as swelling resolves and scars mature.

  • Initial mobility: Patients must walk bent at 45 degrees during week 1 to protect incisions.
  • Drain management: Surgical drains typically remain for 7 to 10 days to manage fluid output.
  • Professional hiatus: Plan 2 to 4 weeks off desk work and 8 to 12 weeks for physical roles.
  • Physical activity: Strenuous exercise and heavy lifting are strictly prohibited for at least 8 weeks.

Bookimed Expert Insight: While many clinics suggest returning home after 10 days, our data indicates that patients staying in Bangkok for 14 to 21 days report smoother recoveries. This allows JCI-accredited facilities like Asia Cosmetic Hospital or Sikarin Hospital to monitor drain removal and initial scar formation before long-haul flights.

Patient Consensus: Expect to be mostly bedridden for the first 2 weeks due to high drainage volumes. Many patients recommend using frozen peas to manage the intense swelling, which often peaks around week 4 in Thailand's tropical climate.

Who is an ideal candidate for this surgery?

Ideal candidates for a belt lipectomy in Thailand are individuals with significant skin laxity following massive weight loss who maintain a stable weight. Successful patients typically showcase a BMI under 30–35 and commit to nonsmoking for at least 3 months to ensure optimal wound healing.

  • Weight stability: Maintain a consistent weight for 6 to 12 months before your surgical consultation.
  • Health status: No uncontrolled chronic conditions like heart disease or diabetes to ensure safe anesthesia.
  • Smoking status: Must quit or be a nonsmoker to avoid complications in humid tropical climates.
  • Physical indicators: Excess skin around the abdomen, hips, and lower back requiring 360-degree surgical contouring.

Bookimed Expert Insight: While many focus solely on weight, Thai surgeons often prioritize patients with a BMI below 35 to prevent common complications like seromas or infection. Hospitals like Asia Cosmetic Hospital maintain a 0% post-surgery complication rate by utilizing dedicated anesthesiologists and cardiologists to screen candidates before clearing them for this invasive 360-degree procedure.

Patient Consensus: Success depends on being emotionally ready for a 4–8 week recovery period and managing surgical drains. Many suggest budgeting for a longer stay in Thailand to allow initial healing before a long flight home.

Will Belt Lipectomy leave visible scars?

Belt lipectomy in Thailand leaves a permanent, 360-degree circumferential scar around the waistline. While visible, surgeons at JCI-accredited facilities like Sikarin Hospital strategically place incisions low on the hips. This allow scars to be concealed under most swimwear and undergarments during the 12 to 18-month maturation process.

  • Scar location: A continuous horizontal line circles the lower abdomen, hips, and lower back area.
  • Healing timeline: Initial dark or raised marks typically fade into faint pink lines after 2 years.
  • Technique impact: Surgeons use advanced tension-reduction suturing to prevent wider or thickened hypertrophic scar formation.
  • Aftercare essentials: Clinical outcomes improve significantly with silicone sheets, massage therapy, and strict sun protection.

Bookimed Expert Insight: While many patients focus on the front, data shows that back and flank incisions often heal with less visible scarring than the abdomen. This is due to lower skin tension in those areas. For the best aesthetic result, ensure your surgeon, like those at Yanhee International Hospital with 10+ years of experience, specializes in body contouring to optimize symmetrical placement.

Patient Consensus: Patients emphasize that while the belt-like scar remains noticeable, the dramatic improvement in body contour is a worthwhile trade-off. Many suggest budgeting for early laser treatments to further refine the final texture.

How long should I stay in Thailand for a Belt Lipectomy procedure?

Patients should plan to stay in Thailand for 14 to 21 days after a belt lipectomy. This duration ensures surgeons can monitor the 360-degree incision, manage surgical drains, and remove sutures. A 3-week stay significantly reduces risks like deep vein thrombosis during long-haul flights.

  • Hospital stay: Expect 1–3 nights for pain management and initial fluid monitoring.
  • Drain management: Surgical drains typically remain in place for 7–10 days post-op.
  • Suture removal: Surgeons usually remove stitches between 10–14 days after the procedure.
  • Flight safety: Medical experts recommend waiting 21 days before flying to ensure healthy circulation.

Bookimed Expert Insight: While many focus on surgery, the choice of recovery location is vital. JCI-accredited facilities like Sikarin Hospital or Asia Cosmetic Hospital serve high patient volumes and offer specialized environments. Booking a 21-day stay covers recovery buffers that are essential for such invasive procedures.

Patient Consensus: Patients often recommend staying at least 2 weeks to handle drain removal comfortably. Many suggest adding 3–5 buffer days to ensure you are fully mobile before boarding long flights.

Are there major risks or side effects?

Belt lipectomy in Thailand is generally safe when performed by surgeons certified by the Society of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons of Thailand. Standard risks include prolonged swelling, seromas, and minor infections. Major complications like deep vein thrombosis remain rare in JCI-accredited facilities using board-certified anesthesiologists.

  • Fluid accumulation: Patients frequently report seromas requiring drainage over 2–4 weeks post-surgery.
  • Infection risk: Thailand’s humid climate may increase incision site irritation due to sweating.
  • Travel complications: Flying home before 4 weeks significantly raises deep vein thrombosis (DVT) risks.
  • Recovery timeline: Most patients require 2–3 months off work for a full recovery.

Bookimed Expert Insight: Thailand’s top-tier hospitals like Asia Cosmetic Hospital maintain a 0% major complication rate by integrating cardiologists into the surgical team. Data shows that clinics with JCI accreditation and ISAPS-member surgeons provide the highest safety margins for complex 360-degree body lifts.

Patient Consensus: Many patients emphasize that the tropical heat makes early recovery uncomfortable. They strongly advise staying near the clinic for at least 1 month to ensure proper professional drainage of persistent swelling.

What is the recovery process like?

Recovery from belt lipectomy in Thailand involves a 6–12 week timeline, with the most intensive healing occurring in the first 14 days. Patients usually stay in a Bangkok facility for 3–5 days before transitioning to local hotel recovery under surgeon supervision.

  • Acute phase: The first 2 weeks are often painful, requiring drains and prescribed pain management.
  • Mobility: Gentle walking by day 3 is encouraged to prevent blood clots during healing.
  • Drain care: Surgical drains typically remain for 1–3 weeks to manage fluid and prevent seromas.
  • Activity restrictions: Most patients require 4–6 weeks off work and 3 months before strenuous exercise.

Bookimed Expert Insight: While many international patients plan a 2-week stay, our data suggests 3 weeks in Thailand is safer. This extra week allows for drain removal and final wound checks before the long-haul flight, significantly reducing the risk of post-travel complications like fluid buildup.

Patient Consensus: Many find the first week extremely challenging, describing it as a period of intense tightness. Consistent use of compression garments is essential for managing long-term swelling and skin sensations that can persist for 6 months.

How long should I plan to stay in Thailand for recovery?

Patients should plan to stay in Thailand for 14 to 21 days following a belt lipectomy. This timeframe allows for essential drain removal around day 7, initial stitch removal, and monitoring by JCI-accredited surgeons in Bangkok to ensure you are fit for long-haul travel.

  • Initial recovery: Clinical monitoring usually occurs during a 10 to 14 day window post-surgery.
  • Drain management: Surgeons typically remove surgical drains between day 7 and day 10.
  • Travel safety: Experts recommend avoiding international flights before day 14 to minimize clot risks.
  • Swelling window: A 21-day stay provides a buffer for peak swelling during days 3–7.

Bookimed Expert Insight: Thai clinics like Asia Cosmetic Hospital often report 0% major complication rates by strictly enforcing a 14-day `no-fly` rule. Our data shows that patients who book 21 days recover better because Thailand’s high humidity can increase post-operative swelling significantly compared to drier climates.

Patient Consensus: Most travelers suggest budgeting an extra $1,000 for potential stay extensions. They emphasize waiting until walking is comfortable and all drains are out before attempting the flight home.

Can a belt lipectomy be combined with other procedures?

A belt lipectomy can be combined with other procedures like liposuction, breast lifts, or arm lifts to achieve total body contouring. Surgeons in Thailand often bundle these treatments to minimize recovery periods and optimize aesthetic results during a single trip for international patients.

  • Liposuction: Used to refine flanks or thighs alongside the main 360-degree skin removal.
  • Breast surgery: Lifts or reductions are frequently performed together as part of mommy makeovers.
  • Thigh lift: Targeted medial thigh tightening complements the outer lift provided by the belt.
  • Surgical duration: Combined operations typically aim for a 6 to 8 hour maximum safety window.

Bookimed Expert Insight: While combined procedures offer convenience, Thailand's high patient volume at centers like Sikarin Hospital allows surgeons to maintain specialized teams. This often leads to 0% complication rates for specific post-surgery recovery protocols. Choosing a facility with JCI accreditation ensures these long combined surgeries follow international safety standards for anesthesia monitoring.

Patient Consensus: Patients describe these `life-changing` combinations as highly efficient but emphasize planning a 3 to 4 week recovery buffer. Many recommend avoiding the local humidity during early healing to prevent wound separation or discomfort.

What are the warning signs requiring post-operative medical attention after a belt lipectomy in Thailand?

Warning signs requiring immediate medical attention include respiratory distress and chest pain. Calf tenderness can also indicate life-threatening clots like pulmonary embolism or deep vein thrombosis. Patients should monitor for uncontrolled bleeding or fever over 38°C. Contact a doctor if wounds appear increasingly red, hot, or blackened.

  • Respiratory distress: Seek emergency care for sudden shortness of breath or rapid heartbeat.
  • Blood clots: Evaluate one-sided leg swelling, warmth, or calf pain immediately.
  • Wound issues: Contact specialists if incisions open or skin turns black.
  • Active infection: Monitor for spreading redness, pus, or foul-smelling drainage from wounds.
  • Severe pain: Seek review if medication fails to manage intense, increasing abdominal pain.

Bookimed Expert Insight: Thai clinics like Phuket Plastic Surgery Institute use laminar airflow and HEPA filters to minimise infection risks. However, the suture line above the buttocks faces high tension. Australian patients should confirm telehealth follow-up plans with clinics like Samitivej Hospitals before flying home. This helps them manage these delicate recovery zones safely from afar.

Patient Consensus: Treat systemic symptoms like chills or dizziness as urgent signs of dehydration or medication reactions. Patients in Thailand suggest having a local emergency plan. They also recommend knowing which Australian hospital to visit for follow-up care after returning home.

How should I prepare for a belt lipectomy surgery in Thailand?

To prepare for a belt lipectomy in Thailand, stop smoking for at least two weeks. You should also avoid blood-thinning medications during this time. Patients should arrive in Bangkok early to acclimatise and undergo preoperative health screenings. Use JCI-accredited facilities like Sikarin Hospital or Asia Cosmetic Hospital.

  • Medical stability: Maintain a stable weight. Complete comprehensive diabetes and heart screenings.
  • Clinical benchmarks: Choose surgeons like Dr Chokchai Amornsawadwattana, who has professional training from Australia.
  • Support planning: Arrange assistance for showering, dressing, and managing surgical drains during early recovery.
  • Travel window: Plan to stay in Thailand for 5–6 weeks to monitor wound healing.

Bookimed Expert Insight: Most clinics focus on skin removal. However, some Bangkok centres like ID Clinic include stem cell therapy during the procedure. This approach helps improve tissue healing and achieves a 95% success rate. Choosing a facility with this focus can improve results after massive weight loss.

Patient Consensus: Arrange for a support person to help with daily tasks and luggage. Bringing loose clothing and slip-on shoes makes the recovery and flight home much more comfortable.

What does a belt lipectomy procedure involve and why is Thailand a common choice?

A belt lipectomy in Thailand is a 360-degree surgical body lift. It removes excess skin and fat from the abdomen, hips, and lower back. Australian patients often choose Bangkok for its JCI-accredited hospitals and surgeons specialising in massive weight loss body contouring.

  • Surgical technique: Surgeons make a circumferential incision to tighten the trunk and lift the buttocks.
  • Hospital stay: Patients usually remain in hospital for 1–2 nights for monitoring and drain management.
  • Thai expertise: Specialist centres like Asia Cosmetic Hospital maintain JCI standards and high-volume surgical schedules.
  • Recovery support: Clinics like PPSI provide structured pathways including pre-travel telehealth and long-term follow-up.

Bookimed Expert Insight: Australians gain a safety advantage with surgeons like Dr. Chokchai Amornsawadwattana at Yanhee International Hospital. He completed specialist training at the Royal Melbourne Hospital. His surgical approach aligns with Australian clinical standards and patient expectations.

Patient Consensus: Thailand offers a seamless experience with hotel-style recovery packages and VIP transfers included. Patients suggest staying longer than planned to have drains removed safely before flying back to Australia.

What is the typical recovery timeline and standard duration for a belt lipectomy in Thailand?

A belt lipectomy in Thailand typically requires a 7-day stay for initial recovery and surgical checks. Most patients return to light work within 2 weeks. Full recovery and a return to strenuous activity generally take 6 to 8 weeks.

  • Hospital stay: Patients usually remain as inpatients for 4–7 days for monitoring and drain management.
  • Initial activity: Walking slightly bent over is common during the first week to reduce tension.
  • Compression wear: Medical binders or garments are worn for 6–8 weeks to control swelling.
  • Travel window: Staying in Bangkok for 10–14 days allows for drain removal before flying.

Bookimed Expert Insight: Thai clinics like Yanhee International Hospital often have surgeons with direct Australian training. Dr Chokchai Amornsawadwattana, for example, trained at the Royal Melbourne Hospital. This shared background makes post-operative instructions and recovery milestones feel familiar to Australian patients.

Patient Consensus: Expect the first 2 weeks to be the most challenging while managing drains and swelling. Patients suggest arranging local help for showering and dressing care before planning a return to Australia.

What is typically included in a belt lipectomy surgical package in Thailand?

Belt lipectomy packages in Thailand typically cover the main surgical costs. These include surgeon fees, general anaesthesia, and theatre time. Bundles often include 1 to 5 nights in hospital and pre-operative health screenings. They also provide post-operative follow-up care in JCI-accredited facilities across Bangkok and Phuket.

  • Clinical components: Includes surgeon fees, anaesthetist fees, and all operating theatre costs.
  • Hospital stay: Most clinics provide 1 to 5 nights in a private room.
  • Initial recovery: Basic post-operative medications and 1 compression garment are usually provided.
  • Safety screenings: Standard pre-surgery blood tests and health checks are included in bundles.

Bookimed Expert Insight: Many clinics bundle hospital stays. Centres like Samitivej Hospitals or Phuket Plastic Surgery Institute also offer international coordination. This often includes telehealth follow-up for Australians returning home after a 360-degree lift. Ask your clinic to confirm the number of compression garments. Patients frequently need a second one for hygiene during the 6-week recovery.

Patient Consensus: Patients in Thailand find that core costs like anaesthesia and transfers are usually covered. Most suggest requesting an itemised list. This helps verify if pathology and extra wound-care supplies are included.
