The team is very caring, and loving. They took care of me as they would of a family member, not just a patient at the clinic. The overall experience was one of the most pleasant I've ever had.

2 positive reviews on liposuction in Thailand
Show all reviewsWell, bit over priced and certainly over rated. Initial correspondence, airport pick up all were great extra services. Language can be an issue! After registration, went to see an internal medicine specialist, the delay to see wasn't explained well. Some tests that will be avoided in public funded hospitals because doctors are experienced enough to rule out a few tests as unnecessary, here they will push you to do because it works towards achieving the financial target. Sent medical records by email from past and one specialist was clear about saying no time to look at so many reports, bring print outs of important ones. Not a bad place to come for second opinion, especially when your own GP feels they have reached dead end!! Quite prompt in organizing appointments etc. Ideal, if you are on a holiday and get check ups done. Make sure the prescribed medicines are funded in your home country!! Pretty well managed.
I've only had good experiences here. It's pricey but you can make actual appointments, for which you are generally seen on time, and the checkout process is efficient. The staff are well-trained and the bureaucratic process is well-refined. Of course, the doctors are top notch. Value added: it's a very nice hospital in aesthetic terms.
Bad service, waiting time over 2 hours for the doctor even though I called the day before. I told the staff many times I had to be back at work but there was no regard for my request. I also had to ask this girl that was following me around to be a bit more discreet, but it was just a waste of time. I know in Thailand privacy doesn’t mean much but having me walk around with urine cup outside where everyone was sitting made me not feel good about myself.
I highly recommend this hospital and very much satisfied with the services. From giving us transportation facilities to assisting us in every way possible. The doctors and assistants took care of our every concern and was very much polite in their behaviour. Specially thanks to Mr. Ernie Roy Valencia for taking such care of us.
A very nice hospital to say at least. It works like a charm! Friendly and professional staff in modern hospital buildings. I could not complain on any thing.
I was treated very rudely by the staff and was neglected by my physician from the time my payment when through until the time I left. Yes, you pay upfront. This is so sketchy because if you’re in a bad state, as I was, they can literally just say, “you get what you get and if you don’t like it you’re free to leave. We will keep your money and you can continue to suffer”. I spent 24 hours at this facility on 11/12/2019. I had severe dehydration, moderate-severe pain, and my blood pressure was at a dangerously high level. At no point did I feel like anyone was looking after my best interests, only their profit margin. I would have left far sooner if I thought I wasn’t at serious risk of collapsing AND had not already paid for 24-hours of care. Although I do blame myself for a not having my travellers insurance sorted out completely before my trip, there is still no excuse for them to take advantage of people in their most vulnerable state. I am not angry but I am sad.
BOTCHED LIPOSUCTION - PLEASE READ Urban Beauty sent me here 10 months ago. Here is my horrifying story with terrible results. I made an appointment through Line and was brought to a clinic called the SIB Clinic. I consulted with Dr. Darin for upper and lower liposuction using the Bodytite machine. Mind you, I am not overweight, 5 foot 6 and 57 kg. I’ve always had an apple body and any fat I have sits in my stomach. I booked by surgery date and opted to do it under twilight sedation because I’ve had terrible experiences under general anesthesia. Before the surgery, I had to go to a hospital and get a bunch of tests done, AIDS, tuberculosis (TB) and the TB test is for patients because they have a breathing tube under general anesthesia. Even though I was doing the twilight sedation, I still had to go through with the TB test and pay for it! How does that make any sense? On surgery day, Dr. Darin started 2 hours later than scheduled. She didn’t apologize, didn’t say much at all and has a very quiet, non-personable demeanor. She marked my stomach up and I laid in the operating room and had an IV. All of sudden, I felt an intense burning sensation in my veins, and as the sedation increased into my veins, so did the excruciating pain. I started panicking and yelling for help and EVERYONE IN THE OPERATING ROOM IGNORED ME. I suddenly fell asleep. How could I have fallen asleep under twilight sedation? I went from being more aware than ever, thinking I was ready to die, to passed out with no recollection of the surgery. I woke up feeling very disoriented and I remember having to pee in a cup on the operating bed while I recovered. Dr. Darin didn’t even send me home in a compression garment. My stomach was wrapped in an elastic band and metal clips (those bandages you use when you sprain an ankle). I was in a ton of pain and did not sleep because the bandages scrunched up around my abdomen. I went back the next day to get my compression garment. They had a catalogue and didn’t have the one I tought provided the best support. I asked Dr. Darin why this wasn’t arranged before my surgery and why I didn’t get sent home in a compression garment and she said “in case I bled or there were fluids coming out of the wounds” which makes no sense, the 3mm wounds that were stitched shut had thick gauzes taped over them and there was no fluid on the bandaids. The recovery was ok, I was off pain medication at day 3 post op, and I just wore my compression garment 24/7. My stomach was very lumpy and tight and I did RF massages 3 times a week for the first 2 months to try to knead out the lumpiness. As the lumps and tightness went away, I started losing hope that I’d have nice results. I have white stitch scars over my scars because my skin grew over my stitches before they were taken out. Dr. Darin took out an uneven amount of fat in my lower abdomen and barely touched my upper abdomen (and I paid for my upper abdomen to be done) and now my upper abdomen folds over my lower abdomen making it impossible to see my belly button. Now my belly button gathers dry scabs and I need to clean it all the time with a Q-tip. The psychological damage this surgery has done on me is indescribable. I wanted to wait a full year to give Dr. Darin a fair and honest review but 10 months out, I can’t let anyone suffer the way I am now. There is no way I’d ever wear a bikini or even be intimate with someone looking the way I do. It is the biggest burden and insecurity I have and I can’t believe Dr. Darin could create such a careless, rushed result. I know that if she put my before and after photos on her website, no one would book a surgery with her. My message to Urban Beauty, please remove the SIB Clinic from your brokerage. Dr. Darin ruined my body and all of my confidence. I would not go to her again even if she offered a free revision. Look at my photos, is this what you'd envision your liposuction results to look like?
Cheating place. Don't risk yourself here.
I had a facelift at PPSI Phuket 14 months ago.Since then I've noticed droopy jowls and I have decided to visit again for a follow up and hopefully revision. I travel next week. But correspondence with the doctor suggests he may not do anything because it may not be safe to do so. Why, after 14 months remains unclear. Additionally, I have seuters protruding through the skin and only the surgeon can realistically fix that problem. My second visit will be expensive, I will also pay for the consult and have to make my own way to the hospital from Sydney. The hospital does not provide assistance. Correspondence with the hospital, language barriers at the hospital last year and complications following surgery have left me feeling exhausted. The distance between patient and doctor is the real nightmare here and for that reason I'd seriously suggest if you're thinking of cosmetic surgery reconsider and go local.
I had breast implants done here 2 years ago with dr witoon ... best experience and best surgeon not a single problem or complaint.. I'll go back there for sure
Very bad doctors not friendly look moody all the time especially the doctor who did the scan she never smile, they couldn’t speak English just only word by word, not clear explanation, waited too long more than an hour to get it done, not good service, charged for interpretation 550 baht but the document was already in English not worth to pay for it, cheating not recommended. Go somewhere else if you don’t want to waste of your time and money.

FAQ about Liposuction in Thailand
What is liposuction?
Liposuction is a plastic operation to remove a certain amount of fatty tissue through small punctures on the skin using specialized equipment. The lipo is divided into different types depending on the area should be operated (abdominal liposuction, buttock liposuction, neck lipo, knee liposuction, and so on).
BMI (body mass index) |
under 35 kg/m2 |
Duration |
1-5 hours |
In-hospital stay |
2 days |
Recovery period |
2-3 weeks |
Who benefits the lipo?
The main indication for the surgery is excess fat that deforms the body contours. Surgeons perform liposuction locally, in particular on the abdomen, thighs, knees, neck, buttocks, etc.
The procedure is suitable for people who have excess weight with BMI (body mass index) under 35. For overweight people, lipo is an excellent option to get a perfect body and regain your figure factly.
Liposuction is best for people with the right skin tone and elasticity because it forms a new contour of the body without wrinkles.
A person must be over 18 years old and have good health status. Those with severe chronic illnesses cannot undergo this procedure.
What is preoperative preparation for liposuction?
Before liposuction, a patient undergoes the lab tests. They include blood and urine analysis, ECG.
A plastic surgeon examines a patient and discusses the volume of intervention. Then an anesthesiologist determines the type of anesthesia.
If there are no contraindications, the liposuction is assigned the next day.
What is the liposuction process?
Doctors conduct liposuction under local or general anesthesia. The anesthetic type depends on the location of the problem area and its size.
Then a plastic surgeon starts liposuction. A specialist uses a thin tube-shaped instrument called a cannula. Through the 3-6 mm incisions, fat is pumped out.
The procedure is carried out very slowly and carefully to avoid the nerves and vessel injuries, to save asymmetry of body contours.
The liposuction of one area takes 1-1.5 hours. If a doctor operates several areas, the duration of the procedure is prolonged up to 5 hours.
In some cases, specialists perform abdominoplasty after abdomen liposuction. It helps to achieve a better result and avoid asymmetry.
Find out more information on the lipo surgery process in the video.
What rules should I follow during postoperative rehabilitation?
Just after the surgery, a doctor places a special bandage on the operating area. It speeds up the recovery of tissues, reduces swelling, and improves skin retraction. This bandage is prescribed to be worn for 4-10 weeks.
The hospitalization after liposuction is 2 days in most cases. If there are no complications, and the area for surgical intervention is small, a patient is discharged after the procedure. In other cases, liposuction takes up to 2 days.
A patient stays in the country for 10 days. The sutures are removed in 7 days. A patient can return to the usual lifestyle in 2-3 weeks.
To maintain the new body shape, it is necessary to keep a diet and lead an active lifestyle — otherwise, the overweight returns.
What results can I expect after liposuction?
Liposuction results are not noticeable until the swelling decreases. In some cases, this process may take several months. Most of the edema (swelling caused by fluid retention) reduces in about 4 weeks, and the area where the fat has been removed becomes less extensive.
People keeping fit usually get excellent and consistent results. Those gaining weight after the procedure may find that their fat distribution changes. For example, people who previously have had fat accumulation in their thighs may find that their buttocks are becoming a new problem area.
What are the risks of lipo?
Any serious surgery is associated with a risk of bleeding, infection, and an adverse reaction to anesthesia.
The risk of complications is usually related to the procedure extensiveness and surgeon’s skills.
The following risks, unpleasant side effects or complications are possible:
- bruising — can last for several weeks
- inflammation — may take up to 6 months
- thrombophlebitis — a blood clot in a vein formation
- contours roughness — if the skin has low elasticity, the skin may look saggy and wavy
- numbness — the affected area may feel numb, but usually, it is temporary
- infections — rarely, skin infection may occur after liposuction surgery; sometimes it needs to be treated surgically, with the risk of scarring
- kidney or heart problems — as fluids are injected during the operation, changes in fluid levels in the body can cause kidney or heart problems (therefore, there is a limit on the amount of fat removed)
- pulmonary embolism — fat enters the blood vessels and lungs, blocking blood circulation in the lungs
- allergic reaction — the patient may be allergic to drugs or materials used during the surgery
- skin burns — the cannula movement can cause injuries on the skin that is especially characteristic for ultrasonic and laser liposuction.
What areas are intended for liposuction?
The lipo is performed on the following body areas:
