Then they shave. Next, a lot of anesthesia is injected into the donor area. 30 injections. More unpleasant than painful. Then they begin to shave and pull out the follicles. They said they took 4500. I didn’t count. Next, about 30 injections into the transplant area. Well, they start planting follicles like mushrooms. It feels like you're piercing cardboard with a pen. No pain. Between procedures they provide excellent food. Then bandage and go home. This is the most unpleasant and painful topic an hour before the end. The painkillers began to wear off and this was much worse than the injections themselves. But everything is tolerable. Childbirth is probably more painful. I liked everything except the woman doctor. She addressed me not as a patient, but as a bad boss addressing a subordinate. Always twice, but that was enough for me. They paid there, and without delay, they invited us to the operating room... The team is excellent , young guys and girls, cheerful and relaxed, (they even sang songs during the transplant)... the transplant went quite quickly, they got it done in 5 hours, because the people know their stuff, they are all true professionals, both the doctor and the guy, who drew the hair line, and the girls who were assistants....Everything is at the highest level..The transplant itself is painless, only at the very beginning, when the painkiller was administered, it was a little painful, but it lasted about 10 minutes.. Then we were taken back to the hotel, and I spent that day in the room, did not go anywhere.... The hotel where I was accommodated also took my needs into account: I had to work and the clinic staff booked a room with a desk, which was very important for my comfort during work. The clinic staff were helpful, professional, communicative and friendly. When I left, I tried to find anything that could have been improved and I realised that it would be very difficult to make a complaint - everything was done to the best of my ability. Some colleagues have already asked for recommendations and I was happy to give them.

We eventually agreed upon a clinic which suited me and my needs. Everything went smoothly until the morning of my procedure, when I was told by the doctor that they could not perform the procedure due to the fact that I was taking Asprin. This information was given to Olha, who in turn was to ask the clinic. I was informed that the clinic agreed to proceed even though I was taking Asprin, I was happy with this as other clinics would not. This was nearly a completely wasted trip for my wife and myself. I had to sign a waiver at the clinic to proceed, which I did, and everything went fine. Better communication between Bookimed and Clinic is a must. The hotel that was organised for our stay was very adequate, but definitely needs better soundproofing. Staff and location was great.
