Everything was perfect. My personal driver met me at the airport and took me to the clinic in a luxury car. At the clinic I was met by the coordinator - interpreter Ismail. He helped me to get registered at the clinic and set preliminary analyses. The next day there was another coordinator - interpreter. She helped me through the remaining procedures before surgery. Many people come with an accompanying family member (mum, sister, husband) I came alone. So my coordinator sat with me in the room after surgery all day until I fully recovered, talking to me. All the days after the operation, the coordinators came several times a day to ask about my condition and my needs. All the doctors are very nice and attentive. All the staff, nurses, orderlies and other clinic staff are all very caring and nice. The ward is large and spacious. It has a toilet and a shower. There is a cupboard for personal belongings and a TV set. Meals are provided several times a day. The menu differs depending on the operation and some people can make their own diet. From the beginning the process was adapted to my needs: flight dates and availability. In only 2 weeks everything was already organised and programmed. The fact that they gave me the planning by days helped a lot, apart from the personalised assistance I received from the coordinator and the dietician. They were able to answer my questions and doubts very quickly and accurately. They did everything in such a way that it didn't seem complicated at all. One day I had all the necessary tests, the next day I was operated on, another 3 days in hospital and that was it. The day of the surgery was a bit tough but the other 3 days were very bearable, with enough painkillers and plenty of saline solution. The day before the surgery, in the personal interview with the doctor, they gave me as much information as possible and cleared up any doubts, so I already knew beforehand what the process would be. The hospital staff helped a lot to make my experience a pleasant and positive one. I don't know if it could have been improved in any way, so I rate this experience a 10 out of 10.

I had a stomach reduction with Dr. Batman. I can only recommend this Dr. and the Hisar Hostel. I was very pleasantly surprised. I must admit that I had moments of doubt, of fear that they did not comply with the sanitary measures or that there might be a problem. But the whole process from start to finish was excellent. The hospital has nothing to envy to the best private hospitals in Spain, the experience and professionalism of the Doctor has been unbeatable, I had been given good references from Spain (other great bariatric doctors). And the most important thing is that they are very involved in helping you to make sure that everything goes well, even after the operation, once the year of follow-up starts. The only problem I have, which I think they need to improve, and which I saw in other opinions before deciding to go for it, is that you ask for a translator in Spanish and he never appears. In my case I speak English, but I was accompanied by my mother who doesn't speak any English and I would have appreciated having a Spanish translator at times when I was dazed by the medication. If it were necessary they should offer it, even at an extra cost. I would have paid for it

I was very well received thanks to the medical team who took care of me and the travel coordinator. I felt safe thanks to the necessities included in the package I chose (hotel + transfer to the airport). There is a very friendly and helpful staff, they are always there 24 by 7 and will help you with everything you need (moving around the hospital, support, bring water if you are unable to go for it yourself, make your condition as easy as possible after the operating room, help you take a shower if you need help, comb and braid you hair, they will definitely hold you senile, help you call a taxi to the airport or hotel, tell you what you can visit in Istanbul if you plan to stay there) a wonderful doctor and his assistant came every day and checked my condition, answered all the questions I asked, explained how to cope with problems if they arise. It's been 5 weeks since the operation, I have minus 12 kg and constant support from the clinic. They are super recommended to everyone!!!

I was lucky to find in a foreign country, in a city I had never been to, professionals from hospitality to medical staff. I had an amazing experience with this hospital. The hospital itself was pristinely clean and the room I was given was luxurious and private. From all my pre op testing to after my surgery, everything flowed and was done so smoothly. The attention and care I got from the nurses post op put me at ease and made me feel so safe. They very much prioritise the patients health as all hospitals should but with the horror stories you hear in the media about health tourism is hard to find a hospital to trust, but lokman hekim is one that I would wholeheartedly recommend to anyone and I think I picked the right place to have my gastric sleeve.

Dr Abdulcabbar Kartal was present every step of the way. I felt well informed on the benefits and risks of the treatment. He checked in on me frequently before and after surgery. He even followed up after I was discharged and I will be seeing him again in 3 months time for another check. He has made it very clear that I can contact him if I ever have any questions. The doctor spoke good English but the interpreters were very helpful and made sure all my questions were answered clearly. The medical staff at Anadolu Medical Center were very attentive and met all my needs.
