I underwent hysteroscopic removal of several endometrial polyps, including one large one measuring 3 cm. Everything went perfectly - from the initial consultation to the surgery and post-operative care. Special thanks to my doctor - Op. Dr Berna Buse Kobal. She inspired confidence from the very beginning, explained everything calmly and clearly, acted very carefully and confidently. After the operation I felt great, without pain or discomfort. I was recently diagnosed with an ovarian cyst and stage 4 endometriosis, which required surgery as soon as possible. I was initially hospitalized in Bali, but the doctor there suggested I look for a better-equipped hospital as they didn’t have the necessary facilities to perform my surgery. From the start to finish, everything was perfect. I have used different clinics and hospitals in turkey but the service provided here and the care of the doctors has been the best. Aliser and Ayperi were both very caring and help with translation, Aliser was there helping with every need was very humble and caring nature. All the nurses and doctor main concern was the help and our comfort, one nurse who we thanked said no don't thank me it's my job. The doctors visited us everyday to check up and would care for all our needs, even the outpatient admin came to see if everything is ok then said she will speak to the nurses even though it wasn't her job. The airport transportation, pick up and drop off were punctual, room was spacious, clean and tidy. The room was cleaned multiple times a day and food was provided which was tasty considering its hospital. It definitely deserves 10/10 not because of the facilities but because of the staff who run the place from the cleaning staff all the way to the doctors.

Successfully myomectomy Surgery My uterus, my decision: First of all, I am genuinely grateful to Prof Cem Iyibozkurt of Florence Nightingale Istanbul for saving my uterus, which doctors in the UK have declared damaged and useless and saying that the only option for me was a hysterectomy, and I was totally against it. I recently had a successful myomectomy at the end of March 2025, which removed 81 fibroids, and the largest fibroid was a size 21x20 cm. I was diagnosed with multiple fibroids in August 2023, which were in different locations. I had a protruded stomach, and I looked like 6 months pregnant. The fibroids also pressed on my pelvic nerves, causing my left leg to swell and causing excruciating pain. They were also pressing on my internal organs, causing my kidneys to swell, and I became incontinent because they were pressing on my bladder, and I could not empty the bladder. My menstrual blood was so heavy I had to request my employer to work remotely during my menstrual month as I needed to change pads regularly or change clothes in case they had overflowed. I researched and came across Prof Cem Iyibozkurt with the help of Bookemed medical coordinator Olha and medical coordinator Alisher, who arranged my first video consultation with Prof Cem Iyibozkurt. After a video consultation, I agreed on the date for my surgery, and then Olha and Alisher arranged all my appointments, hospital transportation, and airport pick-up. I am genuinely grateful that my surgery went successfully. I spent 3 days in the hospital. On the discharge day, I felt good and confident enough to walk and had less pain around the stomach area. Today is week 4, past surgery; my scar is healing beautifully and is invisible. You won't even know that I just had a myomectomy surgery. All the discomfort I used to have is gone. No more incontinence pads and my left leg no longer causes pain or gets swollen. I feel renewed. I would recommend Prof Cem Iyibozkurt and Florence Nightingale Istanbul Hospital to any woman looking for the best doctor and hospital for myomectomy surgery.
I liked all the arrangements from the first time I contacted the medical coordinators to the last day I returned to my home country. They were kind, good listeners and responded to my specific demands.

I did not like the fact that the doctor was not familiar with my examinations and analyzes, and before, if I had an MRI, they did an ultrasound scan. It's not clear why. Visas for travel to Turkey require a number of documents. The necessary papers can be submitted 90 days before the planned departure. Lists of documents includes:

  • ID card
  • confirmation of online registration and filling out the questionnaire
  • certificate of income and availability of funds ($50 per day per person)
  • insurance policy for a stay in Turkey (original and copy)
  • 2 photos (5x6)
  • visa receipt
  • booking of flight and hotel
  • medical opinion about the need for treatment.
