Leandro Féliz

Dr. Félix Matos is a distinguished dentist, researcher, and academic with a solid national and international track record. A graduate of the Universidad Iberoamericana (UNIBE) with a Doctorate in Dentistry, he has complemented his training with advanced specializations in Occlusion, Oral Rehabilitation, Implant Surgery, and Clinical Research Certification at prestigious institutions in Chile and the United States. He holds a Ph.D. in Health Sciences from Nova Southeastern University, Florida, USA, further solidifying his leadership in high-level research and teaching.

Throughout his career, Dr. Félix-Matos has held key roles in academia, including Dean of Innovation and Institutional Development at UNIBE and founder of the Center for Research in Biomaterials and Dentistry (CIBO-UNIBE). His work has driven innovation projects, technological development, and scientific production, resulting in numerous indexed publications, clinical studies, and active participation in international journals. He has been recognized with the National Science and Technology Award, the National Youth Award, and distinctions from the Dominican College of Dentists.

As a clinician, he has over two decades of experience in oral rehabilitation, occlusion, and implantology, maintaining a private practice since 2002. He is also a former Vice President of the International Academy for Dental Research – Caribbean Section, and his contributions to dentistry include an international patent in oral rehabilitation, registered in several countries. He introduced teeth whitening techniques to the Dominican Republic more than 25 years ago, providing training throughout the country.
