She is a pediatric neurologist and Director of the Child Neurology Unit at Hospital Ruber Internacional in Madrid. She has worked at Ruber since 2015 and has practiced pediatric neurology since 2012. Her main fields are neonatal neurology and neurodevelopment. She treats epilepsy, autism spectrum disorder, ADHD, learning disabilities, and complex second-opinion cases.

Awards include the 2013 Spanish Society of Pediatric Neurology prize for work on reperfusion in pediatric stroke. She also received the 2010 Spanish Association of Pediatrics award for research on vascular rings. Her research focuses on risk factors for progression from childhood inflammatory neurological disorders to multiple sclerosis.
