Dr. Francesc Graus is a neurologist with expertise in paraneoplastic neurological syndromes, gliomas, and primary brain lymphomas. He established the first strict diagnostic criteria for paraneoplastic syndromes. He also identified important antibodies that are now used in diagnosis. His research showed the link between tumors and autoimmune neurological attacks.

Prof. Dr. Şebnem İzmir Güner was born in 1970 in Istanbul and took her first steps in her medical career at Istanbul University Faculty of Medicine. Successfully completing her undergraduate and medical education here between 1987-1993, Güner received her internal medicine specialty training at Istanbul University Cerrahpaşa Faculty of Medicine from 1995 to 2000. Deepening her interest in hematology, Prof. Dr. Güner completed her hematology subspecialty training at Cerrahpaşa Faculty of Medicine again between 2003-2006, solidifying her expertise in this field.
Prof. Dr. Güner’s professional journey began as an internal medicine specialist at Istanbul Education and Research Hospital from 2000 to 2003. She established the Hematology Clinic at the same hospital from 2006 to 2010 and served as the responsible physician. Here, she developed innovative approaches in the treatment of patients and made significant contributions to the field of hematology. Between 2016-2018, Prof. Dr. Güner took on similar roles at Şişli Kolon International Hospital, where she was also the founder and responsible physician of the Hematology Clinic, Therapeutic Apheresis, and Adult Bone Marrow Transplantation Center. Güner, who became an associate professor in 2017, obtained her professorship title in 2023. Between 2019-2024, she worked at Memorial Şişli Hospital in the Hematology Clinic, Therapeutic Apheresis, and Adult Bone Marrow Transplantation Center.
Prof. Dr. Şebnem İzmir Güner is recognized for her scientific contributions, with over 19 articles published in international peer-reviewed journals. Dr. Sullivan graduated in Medicine and Surgery from the National University of Rosario in 2005, specializing in Medical Oncology through the MIR at the Santa Creu i Sant Pau Hospital (HSCiSP, 2012) in Barcelona.

She received a post-MIR scholarship from the Ministry of Interior from HSPiSP (2012) and then a pre-doctoral scholarship from ISCiii (Rio Hortega – 2013-2015).

In 2014, he moved to Paris where he obtained a DUERTECC diploma at the Gustave Roussy University Hospital (Villejuif), followed by an ESMO scholarship (Georges Mathé Translator Scholarship), which he received in 2016.

Since January 2017, he has been working on the staff of the Medical Oncology Department of the HSCiSP. In the same year, he obtained his PhD from the Autonomous University of Barcelona.

Since 2015, he has been a member of the Board of Directors of the Spanish Lung Cancer Group (GECP). And since 2022, he has been the coordinator of the HSCiSP Committee on Neuroendocrine Tumors.

In November 2021, she joined the IOR Medical Oncology Service and is actively involved in various research projects in the Pangea Lab under the supervision of Dr. Molina.

Dr. Sullivan is involved in several clinical trials in lung cancer and neuroendocrine tumors, many of which have been presented at various international scientific meetings.

She has participated in national and international conferences and is an author and co-author of research articles published in influential journals.

She is currently a member of the Spanish Society of Medical Oncology (SEOM), GECP, European Society of Medical Oncology (ESMO), American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO), European Organization for Research and Treatment of Cancer (EORTC) and the Spanish Group of Neuroendocrine and Endocrine Tumors (GETNE).
