Dr. Abdulkadir Bedirli completed his medical education at Istanbul University Istanbul Medical Faculty in 1988. He became a General Surgeon in 1997 and was appointed as Associate Professor in the Department of General Surgery at Gazi University Faculty of Medicine in 2005. He became a Professor in 2010.

In 2011, Dr. Bedirli completed the Robotic Surgery Certification Program in Strasbourg and became a console surgeon. He performed his first robotic surgery in the Department of General Surgery at Gazi University in the same year. Since then, he has successfully applied robotic surgery to over 1500 patients, mostly for obesity, stomach cancer, and colon-rectum cancers.

In 2012, Dr. Bedirli became a Surgical Oncology Specialist and participated in training programs on Laparoscopic and Robotic Surgery in Paris-France in 2014 and in Lyon-France in 2016. In 2018, he completed the Gastric Cancer Master Class program at Severance Hospital in Seoul-South Korea, and in 2019, he participated in the Bariatric Redo Surgery training program in Bruges-Belgium.

Dr. Bedirli was awarded the F.A.C.S. (Fellow of the American College of Surgeons) title by the American College of Surgeons in 2018. He has published 61 international and 47 national papers, presented 87 papers at international conferences and 68 papers at national conferences, contributed to 7 book chapters, and served as an editor for one book. General Surgery; It is the medical unit that interacts with many medical units and is responsible for the surgical treatment of systemic and local problems in the body. In addition, specialist physicians work in general surgery clinics, which also work in areas such as supporting the healing of wounds and evaluating the body's endocrine and metabolic responses to trauma. The field of interest of the unit is quite wide, therefore, different medical units are constantly contacted and cases are approached from a multidisciplinary perspective. General surgeons work in the treatment of many diseases and traumas seen in many parts of the human body. Performing many applications in the unit with innovative techniques such as laparoscopic surgery and robotic surgery provides benefits in terms of reducing the risk of complications and shortening the recovery period in patients. Having experience in advanced laparoscopic surgery, robotic surgery, bariatric surgery and metabolic surgery as well as cancer surgery, Prof. Dr. Aziz Sümer has been working at Istinye University Gaziosmanpaşa Medical Park Hospital for 2 years. There are also surgical techniques developed by him, especially in obesity and diabetes surgery. Physician and educator Prof. Dr. Aziz Sümer has gained experience by working in many hospitals in our country and has practiced in many fields of general surgery, especially bariatric surgery and robotic surgery. In addition, he received training in laparoscopic surgery, bariatric surgery, robotic surgery and organ transplantation in Turkey and abroad.

He was born in Istanbul in 1982. He graduated from Kocaeli University Faculty of Medicine. In 2012, he completed his specialization in emergency medicine at Taksim First Aid Training and Research Hospital. Between 2013-2018, he specialized in general surgery at Haseki Training and Research Hospital. Between 2018-2020, he fulfilled his compulsory service at Bitlis Tatvan State Hospital. Since 2020, he has been continuing his service at Avrasya Hospital and has specialized in general surgery and obesity surgery for the last five years.
