With more than 25 years of experience in surgery and academic medicine, he is one of Europe’s leading authorities in the surgical treatment of obesity and metabolic disorders.
He studied medicine at the University of Vienna, graduating in the 1990s, and began his surgical training at the Medical University of Vienna, where he developed an early interest in minimally invasive and laparoscopic techniques. 1990s – Completed medical studies and residency in general and visceral surgery at Vienna General Hospital (AKH).
