2001-2004: Training at the Centre for Molecular Neurobiology in Hamburg.

2004-2011: Training at the Neurological University Clinic Düsseldorf.

2011-2013: Training at the Neurological University Hospital Tübingen and the Hertie Institute for Clinical Brain Research. 

Professor Dihne began his scientific career at the University of Düsseldorf. 

2013-2023  Professor Dihne successfully headed the Department of Neurology at the St. Lukas Klinik Solingen for 10 years.

Since 2024: Chief Physician at the Department of Neurology at the Academic Hospital Solingen.

Dr. Viola Fox is the Chief Physician at the Clinic for Haematology, Oncology, and Palliative Medicine at BKZ Solingen. This clinic is a certified interdisciplinary cancer center. Dr. Fox is a leading expert in drug therapy for tumor diseases in Germany and Europe. She has more than 15 years of experience in this field.

She is a member of the German Society of Oncology and Haemato-oncology (GDHO), the German Association of Physicians, and the American Association for Cancer Research. Dr. Fox is also active in molecular biology research. Her work supports progress in cancer treatment and molecular diagnostics.

Her main areas of expertise are chemotherapy, immunotherapy, targeted therapy, and radiation therapy. Dr. Fox is known for her innovative methods and strong commitment to patient care. Her efforts have led to high recovery rates and recognition from her peers.

Thanks to the professor and his team, the department has been modernised by introducing modern surgical methods of treatment and especially improved methods of post-operative recovery. The Department of Surgery at the Solingen Clinic is now further expanding its focus on minimally invasive surgery in the direction of robotics. The clinic has allocated a huge budget for the purchase of state-of-the-art equipment in order to offer patients a full range of surgical methods for the treatment of benign and malignant diseases of the oesophagus, lungs, stomach, liver, pancreas and intestines according to current guidelines and using the most modern technical equipment.

Professor Schenker is an active researcher and lecturer. He lectures at medical universities and organises seminars and workshops for colleagues. He cooperates closely with the Cancer Centre, the Pancreatic Cancer Treatment Centre, the Intestinal Cancer Treatment Centre and the Interregional Trauma Centre.
