This is a description of a medical procedure related to the foreskin of the male genitalia. It involves addressing problems such as difficulty in retracting the foreskin, or when the foreskin is too thick to be pulled back easily, which can lead to difficulties in urination and hygiene. If these issues lead to inflammation of the urinary tract, a medical procedure known as circumcision may be performed. During circumcision, a physician will surgically remove a portion of the foreskin and stitch the wound to promote healing and by this method, physicians can more accurately determine the desired level of excision, thereby reducing post-treatment skin discoloration.
