A specialist urology doctor will administer a local anesthetic and use small instruments to create a tiny incision in the foreskin to access the spermatic duct. They will then cut and tie off the ends of the duct on both sides to secure it before placing it back in its original position. This is done without the need to puncture the skin again. Once the procedure is complete, the specialist urology doctor will close the incision with small plastic sheets. Patients can typically travel back immediately. The entire surgery takes about 30 minutes in total.
