Treatment Timeline & Cost
We are typically able to schedule and organize the surgical procedure within about 3 weeks from your first consultation. During this initial visit, Dr. Papadopoulos evaluates your condition, qualifies you for the procedure, and issues the official surgical referral.
Standard Arthroscopy Estimated Price: 5,000 EUR (For simple procedures where no orthopedic implants/anchors are required).
Advanced Reconstruction Estimated Price: 7,000 EUR - 8,000 EUR (For specialized procedures requiring advanced implants/anchors, such as Anterior Cruciate Ligament (ACL) reconstruction or Shoulder Rotator Cuff repair).
What is Included in the Package:
The Surgery: Full operating theater fees, advanced medical materials, customized surgical kits, anesthesia, and the complete surgical team.
Hospitalization: One (1) night hospital stay at Olympion Medical Center of Patras in a double room with an ensuite bathroom, full board, Wi-Fi, TV access, and 24/7 specialized nursing care.
Hotel Accommodation: Four (4) nights stay at a comfortable 4-star hotel in Patras for your post-operative recovery period (Total stay: 5 nights).
Physiotherapy: Professional, dedicated physiotherapy session during your hospitalization.
Diagnostics: Comprehensive preoperative diagnostics (blood tests, chest X-rays in selected cases) and necessary imaging during your stay to monitor the success of the surgery.

Standard Process for International Patients
1 Diagnostic Imaging: Send your diagnostic images—preferably a shoulder or knee MRI in DICOM format—securely to us via www.wetransfer.com.
2 Teleconsultation: Once we receive your imaging, we will schedule an online video consultation with Dr. Papadopoulos to review your files, discuss your medical history, and issue a preliminary surgical referral.
3 Surgical Planning: After your virtual consultation, you can confidently plan your trip to Greece for the surgery, knowing that all your medical and accommodation arrangements are fully prepared in advance.

Doctor
Andreas X. Papadopoulos, MD, PhD, is an orthopaedic and trauma surgeon. He specializes in robotic surgery, arthroscopy, and sports medicine. He has been Director of the Sports Injuries Department at Olympion Medical Center since 2005. He performs 200–250 major operations each year. He has over 20 years of practice and has completed more than 6,000 procedures.
He is an expert in robotic knee arthroplasty using CORI (Smith & Nephew) and ROSA (Zimmer Biomet) systems. His practice includes shoulder arthroscopy and arthroplasty, ACL/PCL, meniscus and cartilage surgery, total knee replacement, complex fractures, and kyphoplasty. He also offers PRP and other biologic treatments. His research includes 25 papers, over 450 citations, an h-index of 8, and more than 100 presentations. Honors include the Klaus Klemm First Prize, an AO Research Grant, and an Excellence Award. He is an ESSSE-SECEC Fellow, on the GMC Specialist Register, and ATLS certified.
