Dr. Leidys Patricia Villar Perez is a pediatric cardiovascular surgeon. Medical license: 26-12; CMD: 26752. She completed advanced fellowship training at CEDIMAT in the Dominican Republic.
Since 2021, she has focused on congenital and acquired heart disease in children. She holds a master’s in pediatric cardiovascular surgery from PUCMM/CEDIMAT. She has experience in complex pediatric cardiac surgery.
She received the National Health Research Award in 2022 and 2023. She has presented at STS/EACTS and at SODOCARDIO.

Heartline Clinics is a private cardiac surgery program in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. The center specializes in complex heart surgery. Key procedures include coronary artery bypass and heart valve repair. It also performs aortic surgery and transcatheter valve implants. Chief of Cardiac Surgery Dr. Perelló trained at Hospital Felício Rocho in Brazil.
The surgical team performs 170 cardiac surgeries per year. They report a 100% success rate across all procedures. Cases are reviewed within 24 to 48 hours for rapid care. Surgery takes place in a fully accredited hospital with 24-hour ICU support. Most international patients come from the United States, Canada, and the United Kingdom.
