The goal is to preserve the natural tooth, eliminate any internal infection, and restore its strength, function, and aesthetics.
What does the treatment include?
1. Root Canal Treatment (Endodontics)
During this procedure, the interior of the tooth is accessed to remove affected pulp tissue, carefully clean and disinfect the root canals, and subsequently seal them.
It includes:
Clinical assessment of the tooth.
Local anesthesia.
Access and canal localization.
Cleaning and disinfection of the canal system.
Preparation and sealing of the root canals.
Temporary restoration when necessary.
Monitoring X-rays required during the procedure.
2. Tooth Rehabilitation
After completing the root canal treatment, the necessary structure is rebuilt to prepare the tooth for its permanent crown.
Depending on the amount of remaining tooth structure, the dentist will determine if additional reconstruction or the placement of a post is needed to provide adequate support.
3. Zirconia Crown
The final phase involves protecting and rehabilitating the tooth with a zirconia crown—a material offering high strength and excellent aesthetic appeal.
This stage includes:
Tooth preparation.
Impression taking or scanning for crown fabrication.
Shade selection.
Temporary crown, when indicated.
Fitting and adjustments of the permanent crown.
Permanent cementation.
Bite verification and necessary adjustments.
